I popped my inspection cover off to to check & adjust my primary chain (XB9R) and thought to myself, self, you oughta pick up a few spare door gaskets... Call the shop and get told, first that they don't have any, and that the gaskets are no longer available by themselves. I'd have to "order" a new inspection cover / gasket pair. $19 to get a dollar gasket... Is this a case of a changed part number and a misinformed clerk? I'd really like to have a couple of these on hand... Thanks |

Unless that's a new change, they're definitely misinformed. Not 6 months ago I was able to get a new gasket by itself. Cheap too. Try American Sport Bike. $1.25 actually. Sam |

I bought one at my dealer a couple of weeks ago for about $1.50 or so. You will need to go down there and show them on the micro fische the part you need. The way it is worded they want to pull the wrong part. |

You must have spoke to a Harley parts guy. He is talking about the gasket kits for Twin Cams. Buell XB gaskets are still available single. |
