Next Tuesday is Buell club meeting, 7pm at the Ram in Lake Oswego as always. Business is busy here so I will probably be late.
Sunday the 20th will be our ride, and it is also the weekend of the Oregon Vintage Motorcycle Association's annual show in Corvallis. I am going to ride down to the show and I will be leaving the dealership around 10:30. I don't have a route planned for the ride down - I
will leave that someone else.

I think this Saturday may be to early to get everyone organized. Lets get the group together, a meeting place, and a route established first. But if someone wants to ride I am almost always available.

as far as meeting places, do we want to do breakfast, or just coffee and hit the road? If just coffee, i used to frequent Papacinos near the corner of terwilliger and taylors ferry, decent sized parking lot. Like I said earlier though, i will travel anywhere. If you want dive breakfast, Gators Bar on 99w has 1.99 breakfast 7days a week till 11am |

I have not attended the Buell meetings yet. Both Buallballs and borrowedbike have, I believe. I have a hard time making it there at 7:00pm after work because of where I work and my hours. As far as I know though it is free and they discuss riding events. There is one on the 20th as posted by Paul. I also sent you PM you the info Graham.
Toby, Graham and Marc have the furthest distance to travel to meet. So maybe off of 99w would not be too bad. What's everyone else think?
After my sons baseball practice today I will probably take a ride down scholls to Bob Yamaha to look for some visor/sun reflection for my Icon helmet. I might checkout Gators.
Anyone up for a small afternoon ride. No particular route in mind other then what I mentioned above. Probably head out around 2:00
Paul, if your home today I would like to swing by and pickup the manual while I am out. |

Buell club is the now defunct Brag meetings. No membership required just have Roc add your email to the list so he can notify you. Turn out has been small at the previous meetings because of foul weather but with a ride planned and nicer weather it will be interesting to see how show up this week. There is around 65 emails on the list. Unfortunately this week my bike's brain is at American Sport Bike so I'll have to cage it if I go. Hopefully I can get it back before sunday's ride. |

i've never been to gator's, but that sounds like a good place to me. but i'd be up for meeting most anywhere - travel isn't really a problem since i'll be getting there on the bike - and isn't that part of the fun?
so did anyone actually meet this morning?
if so, how was the ride? |

Buell club is very informal. A group of the old BRAG regulars continue to meet and I try to let other Buellers know about the meetings. Usually a half dozen or so guys at a meeting, but the email list is up to 67 so we might have a big group one day. |

Four of us had a great ride today. We checked out Gators during happy hour and it looks like a great place.
Starting Saturday the 19th we will be meeting at Gators at 7:00 am and plan to leave on our ride from there at 7:30 am.
This will be our new regular riding time and meet place from now on. Lets see how it works out for everyone.

L on Bald peak to 219 (shorter)

I have been on a few of these Roads only once maybe twice so don't ask me to lead
 For some reason I am much better at keeping up then setting a pace. I think it has to due with me still being a newbie at least in my mind. |

This is a copy of a thread I posted on the XBoard. Thought you guys might have more specific knowledge since I went to Paradise HD.
So I discovered an oil leak on the swingarm. Upon further investigation I noticed a small pool of oil behind the rear cylinder on the transmission. I assume that drops were being shot through the cooling fan to the swingarm.
Anyway, I took it to the dealer to drop it off today. The bike is in the last month of warranty. The service guy informs me that I have to pay $80 (shop rate?) plus $35 diagnostic fee for them to look at the bike. I could be wrong, but I left with the understanding that I would pay that rate whether it was warranty work or not. If they find that the problem is not my fault, the repairs NOT diagnosis, are covered under warranty.
This kind of chaffs me the wrong way since I don't feel I should have to pay for a defect covered under warranty, even investigation time.
Is this standard for Buell or Paradise HD? |

I'm with you on the whole "leading" position, as that was my first ride in oregon, but i definitly agree with your route suggestion it really is a fun one. I look forward to meeting y'all either tomorrow at the Ram or saturday at Gators. seems like we have a wild kingdom theme going on here. |
