Stoef : I'm only 1.5-yr old in the Buell community, so I'm not much aware of existing events. As far as I know, no Buell club in France yet, so I'm a bit lost, alone with only three other Buell owners in the surroundings... Where can I find more info about Croix ? Do one needs to be a club member to go there ? How do we subscribe ? What contact ? Sorry for these naive questions, but I'd be glad to learn ! Hoping to meet some of you there on May 9. |

Jerome It's organised bij Buell Benelux. No club or membership needed. A subscribe form is send to Buellowners by Buell Benelux. Wont be a problem to scan it and puit it on the web. |

Hello guys I hope this year at Croix will be like last year (lot of sun & lot of fun). What a day!!! See you there... Jerome : Since Sep'01 there's a club active in Belgium, Luxembourg and France. At this time we are 8 Buellers (1 from Lux, 1 from FR and 6 from Bel). Take a look at homepage of the Pitt Biull Club It's all in French for the moment (sorry guys). We have some contacts with people from Chambery (J-C BOREL if you know him), Paris & Metz. Or you can go to forum Buell in French to talk with us and have some news from this track day at Croix. Have fun guys ;-) |

Thanks for all the info, guys. Yes Ludo, I've seen posts of JC Borel on the new french forum "planetbuell". But I don't know him yet, although we live only 50km away from each other. Here in Grenoble I've seen a maximum of 4-5 Buells, so small community as well. I'll see in my agenda how it can work out but I'll do my best to show up. Racetrack with my Buell would be a much exciting experience. Nothing like road experience, I'll be entirely lost !!! |

Can I move this to the "Storm Fronts" topic? It may become a worthy "tale" at some point like last year's. |

May 9th, huh? I'll be there. Are we doing a ride from Amsterdam again? Is the backup truck going? If it is, I'm going to put some race tyres in it and change them there Are you coming over again Aaron? PPiA |

Blake, I thought I put it in the tales section because the Croix 2001 and the Zandvoort topics are here too... PPiA, Nope, the backup truck is sold and is not going We should find another way to carry your tyres |

Sorry for the confusion Stoef. I moved last year's in here after the fact. I didn't want to lose all the great stories and pics. "Tale" is synonymous with "story", so until this year's Croix becomes a "story", and mainly to keep others from confusing the intent of the "Tale Section" topic, I'd like to move this to the "Storm Fronts" page. No big deal, just me being an overzealous moderator. |

Hello Croixers : I'm in the process of sorting my travel plans for this years event. As it falls on a Thursday I haven't made up my mind whether to travel North Sea Ferries or Dover to Callais. In any case, it would be cool to arrive at the event 'invited' this year. Can anyone sort me an entry form please before I spit my dummie out. TIA. Rocket in England |

Rocketfella, Are you coming to Amsterdam before or after? Not much more to do on the engine. This is it this evening...... PPiA |

Peter : I still haven't made up my mind. The bottom line is, North Sea Ferries want a hundred and seventy quid and it means getting on the Continent Wednesday morning. If I head straight for Bethune that's a 3 night stay. Then the question is, do I sail back Friday teatime or spend time up in A*dam which means more fuel costs ? You can see how this could turn out to be an expensive long weekend. Alternatively I can ride down to Dover and take the crossing to Calais and the round trip would cost me a hundred quid. This way though, I'm too far from Holland to make the visit then come all the way back to Calais for the return crossing. Suggest to me how I can best spend my time, and little money, and I'll work it out one way or the other. Remember, I'm off to the Monaco GP a couple of weeks later so I've got my begging cap on but right now I think I'm best doing the Dover - Calais thing for finances sake. Rocket in England |

This might be an option: from Newcastle to IJmuiden (near Amsterdam) DFDS Seaways http://www.cheapest-ferry-crossing.co.uk |
