i looked through the vault but only found old news... whats everyone using for front brake pads? im going to be changing these in a few weeks and have no idea which ones to get.. i checked American Sport Bike and thought about the Nissin pads. Are these good pads for street riding or do they wear to quick for street riding? |

I currently run Lyndall Golds front and rear with a wave rotor on the front. I like the rears as they solved the "no feel" complaint I had with the stock pads. But on the front, I think they're a little weak and would recommend sintered pads. That's what I'll be putting on next. |

I have the Lyndall Golds on the front, stock on the rear. The lyndalls have to be broken in just right or they are weak and "slimey". The Lyndalls transformed the bike in that I could only go as fast as I was comfortable hauling down, and the stock pads ultimately sucked. |

Lyndall Golds on the front with the stock rotor. They modulate better to me. Like Ft_bstrd said above, The break in is key. |

The break-in was in accordance with the instructions. I am not completely happy with them. I like an aggressive front brake setup. |

I have one of the first sets of Braking pads that AL brought in. I'll let you know after this weekend, as we're headed to Deals Gap tomorrow. |

++1 EBC HH as well. They make a funny buzz noise when applied but it is just charateristic of the pads in general as my GSXR is the same. |

I'm quite pleased with the feel of the stock front pads. They have been saving my life. Why if they didn't grab, shake, and shudder the way they do I'd be temped to ride faster and go into corners deeper than I do, which could be detrimental to my health. Ft_bstrd knows what I mean, he didn't like them too much, but then he had the large burrito platter with hot sauce before they violently shook him up! |

First turn, I about crapped my pants. It wasn't the burrito platter. |

Was too! That little bit of grabby, vibrating head shake couldn't have bothered you that bad in and of itself. Besides......I've seen you eat! |

How are the Lyndall's affected by water? I ride rain or shine and the stock pads seem to get "waterlogged". I figured since they (Lyndall's) are sensitive to the bedding in procedure they might be finicky about water(sudden temp changes, water saturation,etc.). How about the EBC's? Was also curious to hear from anyone running the sintered pads...rotor wear, noise, initial bite, etc. |

I've ridden in the rain with the Lyndalls a couple of times and have noticed no real difference in breaking performance. I still get the lovely "Zzzzzzzzz". |
