Looks as if there are at least four of us in the general Lexington area, (within 35 miles anyway). Is everyone cool with distributing the e-mails once they're gathered? Just wondering, might be nice to have just in case an impromptu ride pops up. LaFayette I sent you my e-mail, don't mean to intrude on all your hard work but can those be mass mailed out to all in the area? |

Hey Kentucky Buellers, I'm getting excited about coming down for 2 weeks. I almost had rented a Fat boy for the weekend but looks like I'll ride some demos and get the freedom bag made by Buell while I'm down in your state. Sending my gear down, I fly down this Sunday. Question for you all, what kind of events are going on for the weekend of May 5,6. Who is having open houses, etc so I can hang out during the weekend? Thanks for all of your information in the past posts I really appreciate it. K |

Babired, don't plan on getting the bag in Lexington, they don't do promotions, it'll have to be Lou. or Pikeville. I guess you already know but the Derby is Saturday so there will be plenty of parties to go around. Other than that I can't think of anything motorcycle related. |

Thursday night ride in Boonesboro is a fairly central location for those of us in Mt. Sterling, Lexington and Richmond. Maybe we could meet up there some evening/ afternoon and ride from there. I still hate that it left Banana's, that was a much better location for all the bikes. I bet there were 600+ there summer before last. Acgwolfe do you have the e-mail address list that Buellistic sent out? If not, let me know and I can forward it. |

I'm in Lexington. Email is Croser2@uky.edu I would love to ride with some other Buellers, but I don't have a lot of spare time, being in med school and having 2 little boys. Sundays work, as well as some evenings during the week. With some notice, I could work something out though. Maybe we could do a TNR. I park behind UK hospital and around campus I sometimes see a Blue 9 firebolt, a black 12 firebolt, and a black 9 lightning. Plus a few blasts here and there. I have a yellow lightning. Hope to get together, and add me to the email list. |

Took a nice ride to Rabbit Hash with a friend on an SV-650. Some great roads south east of there across I-75 / I-71. And the store is always an entertaining diversion...

Boy it's been kinda dead on here lately. Is anyone riding? Let me live vicariously through you since three kids and a wife in school has SERIOUSLY cut back on my ride time. Weekend before last I did a nice backroad ride from Mt. Sterling to Frankfort on 460 then from Frankfort to Lexington on Old Frankfort Pike,(If you want to see horse farms this is the definitive route to take) and then super slab back home since it was getting dark. Anyway I ran into Altima02 Memorial Day weekend but I didn't have my bike so no spontanious rides erupted but it was good to see a fellow Bueller out and about. Tonight is the TNR in Boonesboro and I am going to TRY to make it down but things aren't going my way yet, we'll see. Hope everyone is keeping it shiny side up and enjoying the first day of summer. Not to bring anyone down but the days only get shorter from here Michael |

I took a little spin on the ULY May 25...started in Kansas(trucked it out)rode west to California then north to Washington then across Idaho and Montana to Wyoming then back to Kansas...20 days 6350 miles on the ULY...all back roads except for about a two days of interstate. Then back in the truck for the trip home to southern Indiana. |

Speaking of... how is the Buell group in Somerset coming along? Are there any meetings, planned rides or an e-mail list? I am a bit out of the way but if I know there is going to be an evening meeting or a ride or something I would like to try and meet up sometime. If there is a list for the Somerset group I would like to be added. Until then enjoy the weather. Michael |

Anyone up for a poker run on August 4th? The Special Olympics of Ky are putting on a five city poker run starting in Lex. and ending at EKU. I plan on going and if any other Buellers attend I know "better" roads between all of the cities. http://ridetowin.kintera.org/faf/help/helpEventInf o.asp?ievent=230222&lis=1&kntae230222=A26E8C471D9D 4CA2804C22D3E9CEA9E5 That is the link to the homepage. I did. Only saw one other Buell. I saw a Blast on one of the stops but never saw the rider near it to say hey. My small group (3 to 6 depending on when you saw us) took the back back roads and didn't go with the main pack. Things seem to get slow in the curves when you have more than 10 or 12. Anyway, a guy I ride with is the go to guy for Kroger and helps put this event on. In an e-mail he said the unofficial number was 650 motorcycles and over $25,000 raised for Special Olympics which is awesome. 183 miles by my odometer and mid 90 temps made for some very warm riding weather, but it didn't rain and I will definitely be going again next year. Until then. |
