Yeah, I kept the brand new Shift girl jacket and pink, grey, and black HJC. We're still "dating" but not sure for how much longer. I might try to make it to the races finally. If not, we should all meet for a Sunday ride if possible. Dan |

sounds good Dan, I'll come up with a route (unless you had something in mind) how long do you want to be out for? Maybe I can show you some roads in the Seacoast area? |

Yeah, I don't have any routes in mind since I'm still pretty new to the area roads. I have some things to take care of, so any time before 3 or 4 pm would be optimal. Preferably roads with nice pavement and no sand! One of my favorite roads is the one around Lake Massabessic (spelling?). I end up in Derry or somewhere around there and stop for a bite to eat at an awesome roast beef restaurant. I'm pretty game for anything though. Just tell me where to show up and I'll try to find my way! |

I'm on for Sunday Dan, show up at the track and we'll make a decision then as to where we will be riding or I'll send you my cell number - give me a call on Saturday and we'll firm it up! I rode to work today Anybody else up for the track or sunday ride? Tunes? Al? (kidding!) NEBO? |

Hey Scott, Can't make it to the track on Saturday. My girlfriend's nephew is having a birthday party. We're still trying to work things out. I'll give you a call to discuss the Sunday ride. Dan |

I'd give you some relationship advice, but I'm divorced, so don't know that it would be worth much (lol)! Enjoy the party! |

Hey Scott...Got my strap for the front end and it looks like it will be an easy install. How far do you normally compress the suspension? OR do you just stop it from extending? My bike is apart right now, Went through it completely this week after my get-off. Will be mostly back together this weekend. I dropped my rear shock off at GMD computrack for a rebuild (to match the forks) and it will be about 2 weeks before getting it returned. (hope it will be sooner) I look foreward to getting to the track with you and any others shortly after that. |

hey Eric, sucks being without a bike with the weather finally coming around huh? I grab the front brake and bounce/compress the forks while tightening the strap. I always leave a little travel - this helps with the wheelies, but they can still happen and they come down hard with no travel! I hope to see you at the track in a few weeks - the spring and fall air are the best for posting some good e.t.'s! |

Sucks is right! I have some yard work that needs to be done anyways. Best to do it now and get the yard ready for some summer BBQ's. Doing a couple mods to pass the time. See ya in a few weeks! Got any up coming events we can all get together at? |

I'd like to do a track day one of these days. They offer them quite often during the season up at Loudon. $250.00, but well worth it! |

to the beach!! Well, I red lighted my way out of 1st round of the streetfighter today But last night there was a nice guy at the track with a Harley...lowrider, softail, night train....I don't know, beyond Sportsters and Road Kings, I don't know cr*p about Harleys! Tall front tire, low, lots of chrome.... After asking what I ran (told him best so far is 11.66) he told me that he ran a 10.9 on a dyno drag....I could tell by his expression that 1) I was supposed to be impressed and 2) he was going run something close to that his 1st pass down the 1/4 mile on a bike.... I held back my laugh and told him with a straight face that he might "have to sneak up on that one...." So of course I moved in line so I could be the one to teach him the difference between a dyno and real life! He ran a 12.7 and was doing this after that (and every) run Then I topped the night off by having a very close run with a really nice guy who runs a Kawi ZRX-1100 and hates to lose to me heads up...... and did anyway - I tree'd him and had a couple of hundredths on e.t. too! So he was too! It was my birthday and that made my night! |

Not sure where everyone else was today (except for Al), but you guys all missed out. Thanks again Scott for an awesome day of riding! It was nice to be out there enjoying the roads and scenery! We rode from about 10am to well past 6pm, stopped at all kinds of cool, scenic places, had fun people-watching at the HD shop (funny chap wearers!), and had some good eats too. Perfect day except for the morning clouds and mostly cold weather. Scott has some nice pics, so I'm sure he'll be posting soon. We'll have to meet up again soon for a ride or kayak trip! Ride safe everyone! Dan |

It was great riding with you Dan! We started by laughing at dudes walking around wearing chaps at Seacoast HD customer appreciation day. Then Dan told me a story about a customer appreciation day at another dealership where a husband and wife make their grand entrance (both wearing chaps and full regalia) and he goes to flip his ponytail and it falls off because it was a clip on! Right after that story we saw a guy, also in full regalia with an eye patch! I'm sorry if it was real (doubtful), there are other alternatives, but it was too funny, I really wanted to ask him where his parrot was! We then rode up the coast into Maine and then headed inland to some nice twisty roads....Until Dan was acting squidly and caused us to be pulled over! We went down several roads that followed a river and that got us talking about boating and kayaking..... finished off with dinner at margaritas in Exeter before I had my short ride home and Dan had his 2nd could ride of the day back to his place. Oh yeah, forgot about the cop! Just couldn't wait to pull us over for something. Funny actually. Isn't there a Buell demo day coming up soon? Free messenger bags are up for grabs! |

Hey, I was just keeping my tires scrubbed! Really though, I don't do stupid squid tricks on the street except for the occasional power wheelie. Lvnlo can run way up forward for cop bait! I'm free on Friday, but the weather looks like rain all day. (Message edited by Cgocifer on May 08, 2007) |

Dan and I rode on both some really technical roads and some roads with great scenery - many had both! What might be a problem for some riders is that these roads are in or near neighborhoods, so a certain sensitivity to the locals is the right thing to do and a better strategy for not attracting unwanted attention. Dan and I cruised through these tight roads at about 50 mph, never going faster than we could see and react, and at a "pace". That is, we did not hammer it on the straights, or wind up the revs only to brake hard for the turns. This way, to anyone hearing us coming we didn't sound any different than a couple of Harleys coming through at 25 mph. No problem if you can't or won't ride this way, I just won't take you on these roads (your loss though!). There are plenty of roads upstate where you can go ahead and we'll catch up to you at the next crossroad/meeting point/town agreed upon... This is posted for anybody that wants to ride along on a ride I arrange, obviously others can do what they want on their rides.... If you want to ride with me at triple digit speeds - meet me at the dragstrip! it is a safe environment and regardless of some peoples opinions, trust me - it is not boring, easy or a waste of your bikes potential. If I'm wrong it only cost 20 bucks to find out! |

^+1 Drag racing is a blast! It's not as easy as it may seem. Sure, it's easy to go wide open in a straight line, but it's not easy to launch or to cut good lights. I've been around drags my whole life, and I still suck launching bikes. It's still really fun though. As far as the rides go, as long as everyone respects eachother's space, line, and riding ability, as well as other traffic on the road, there usually isn't any problems except for that occasional gravel trap in the road, can't do much about that stuff. It would be great to get a larger group together, I've had a blast both rides so far this season. Lvnlo, Tunes, Al (once you heal up), Scott, I'm ready to ride almost any time! See you guys soon. Scott, we'll keep an eye on the forecast, I'd love to go to the demo day and make fun of some more chap-wearing dudes! Hey all, Saw a guy on a 12S very similar to mine today in Manchester. I pulled up next to him and asked him if he knew about Badweb. He hadn't, so I let him know. Maybe we'll have another rider soon if he can remember the web address. |
