My mom came to visit me a week ago to help out around the house before my surgery, and she took this picture. It cracked me up so much that I had to share. Six weeks and counting till I can ride again! |

Sanchez, I'm still amazed at how positive you are. From the time I got to you all the way to now, you've shown a positive attitude. I've learned much, and will try to be just as positive as you've been, whenever things just don't go right. Glad to see you're doing well. We'll see you soon! Love the hair do hair don't |

Sometimes stuff gets f-ed up. All anybody can do is fix it and move on, and have some fun in the process. Good luck to ya', "Sanchez", and a speedy recovery! (I'd say "break a leg", but I see you already have that covered!) Tank |

Sanchez I had seen when you said your Mom had come, but I didn't know how long she stayed. I had been meaning to post a list of things that are sooo hard to do on crutches, to be sure all those 3%'s realized, but my lucid moments have been brief since my patchwork, I didn't get it done. Then I saw where they had been taking pretty good care of you. Glad you got those guys. Looks like your Mom had everything you need in reach. Food, drink, remote. I still can't keep from wondering what all the critters on that mountainside thought when that tank of yours came slithering down the mountain. Keep grinnin', get better!! Rotzaruck!!! |

I always enjoyed the Marine running cadence "Don't let the green grass fool you..." Becuase it always could be worse. Example: This 6 mile run sucks. But it could be a 6 mile run with a flak jacket.. Enjoy life and relax becuase it can/could/ and might get worse. |

> I'm still amazed at how positive you are. Well, I figure if Alison can joke about cancer, I'm not going to whine over a little broken ankle. > I saw where they had been taking pretty good care of you I can't say enough about how much the 3%ers rock. Dave and Ann took me into their home when I had no one to care for me. Mike fetched my mangled bike when I couldn't get out of bed. Chris M., Phil, and especially Charlie went out of their ways to get wheels back on my other bike so I'd have room in my garage to get a working washing machine into my house. The only thing worse than being stuck in bed is being stuck in bed with no clean underwear. > Looks like your Mom had everything you need in reach. My mom hooked me up! She dragged my microwave and a mini fridge up to my bedroom and fixed me up some home cooked meals. A buddy loaned me a TV, and I got one of these to beam my TiVo signal to it: http://www.x10.com/products4/google/wireless_video _sender_v.html > I had been meaning to post a list of things that are sooo hard to do on crutches I think a list of things that are easy on crutches would be much shorter. I've been using plastic grocery bags to carry stuff up and down the stairs, and I wash out water bottles to transport milk and OJ (the juice, not the stabbing guy) that won't fit in the mini fridge. > Oh that calls for Monty Python! Lol, there it is! |

Bless you and your mum, Sanchez! I was there back in '79, and nearly lost my right leg below the knee. My mum was the one, the ONLY one, who insisted I get back on the horse, (Sportster, actually), and even went as far as going out and getting me a Sudco twin Mikuni setup to get me motivated. Give your mum a hug for me buddy! |

Sanchez - better to laugh than to cry! Your cookies should be there within a couple of days! You have to get better so you can get riding time in before we're back in Suches in October. Thanks again for hitting our goal last night on Matt Ware's fundraiser. BTW - you have a little extra in your cookie box! Take care, Kristi |
