Wolf Just got a room near Northbend in Harrisville for August. There is a HD-Buell dealer in Hico, WV down on Rt 60 which would be a great ride up to Northbend. I'm from the Eastern Panhandle but grew up in central WV. See you in August. |

Johnnylunchbox While you're in Cannan take Rt 32 towards Harman about 2-3 miles down the hill turn right on Rt 72 towards Hamblin and Hendericks to 219. Turn right on 219 back up the mountain past the windmill farm right through Thomas and Davis back to Cannan. In Davis there is a restaurant called Sirionoes (sp?) that serves great pizza. |

This sounds like fun. I might be able to do it. The last time I rode through WVA was in 1987 on a Suzuki GS1100ED on our way back from Virginia Beach. We took route 250! Talk about turns!!! |

Will be in Harpers Ferry from May 10-16 or so. Doing some day rides out from there, with maybe an overnighter somewhere. Looking at Marlinton for a stopover. My gps will find the curviest roads for me. Will unfortunately be on the Ducati, I need the hardbags for all my crap. SteveH |

Finally got the schedule for when the kids have to be back in school this coming year and of course it is August 15th. Looks like I won't be able to make this trip with you guys. I am still going to try to be in the OH and WV area in the beginning of August so maybe I'll run into you guys then. |

Here is a map of the campgrounds. I have a call into the recon unit to see what spots we want or can get. I hope to be there mid morning on the 17th to ride some of the local roads. Saturday is up in the air but I was thinking I would ride 16 south to Hico Buell.... (Message edited by wolfridgerider on July 17, 2007) |

OK, here is the word from the WV recon team. All the Elec. camp sites are reserved and the ones that are left are first come first serve. SO...... I can have one of my family members go early Friday and get our camp sites for us. I believe they are $17 a night. What I need to know is who is going to show up for sure and you can pay me back when you see me...... or we can take over the overflow camping area. It has no shower house, no running water, nothing but a couple of port-a-johns. It stays pretty empty and loud bikes coming in late shouldn't be a problem. The shower house would be a short ride over the hill. PLEASE LET ME KNOW |

Wolf- Unless something changes drastically I'm not going to be able to make it. We're trying to sell our house and we're moving this fall and well, the market is slooow right now. If, by the off chance, I can make it I'll just find somewhere in the overflow area to pitch my tent. I'm still crossin' my fingers but the chances are pretty slim... I'm bummed...I really wanted to ride that area too... |

I'll see if I can make it. Were in the process of moving from southern WV to Pikeville Ky. Which would make for a longer ride, ie overnight would require wife approval. lol |

I just sent a email to everyone that has posted on this thread to see who is going to make it. If I missed you....sorry, If I emailed you more than once.....sorry. Another place to stay is The Heritage Inn 315 E. Main St Harrisville, WV 26362 304-643-2938 I talked to them this morning and from what they told me it just sounds like they have suites. They start at 60 bucks a night and you can add 5 bucks per person. I am getting ready to send Hico Buell a note to let them know we will be stopping by on the 18TH.
