Yes, I have the stock can. Can we swap? I need to keep one just in case they say my D&D is too loud at the track. Edit: I'll bring it by the shop tomorrow. I will be there until 9pm. If you stop by, we can swap them then. (Message edited by eboos on May 06, 2007) |

Cool Erik,Jim,i was coming HOT&FAST into a Left/right hairpin.I knew i was going to make a left turn onto a side street immediately afterwards. As i began heading to the left handed side street i knew it would never happen. As i began to abort i was headed towards the curbside where a rock jutted out.My rear skidded to the left and glanced the rock with my underside muffler. No other damage other than a scarred underside muffler. Good 'ole Erik still has a defect free stock can he's offered for the X1 |

Edit: I'll bring it by the shop tomorrow. I will be there until 9pm. If you stop by, we can swap them then. Erik, can you confirm this will happen? Do you mean AT 9pm we can swap? Or can i remove mine when i get home from work at 3:10 and drive to Auburn for about 5pm? It's a long drive by car, especially for an energy conscious person like myself.Advice? |

OK, guys, after yesterday I had to register here so that I wouldn't miss the next ride. After years of boring commuting, I've got a newfound love for my bike. When I got home and saw my chicken strips all pitted & worn, I was pretty damn proud of myself. Greg- outstanding ride. I'll go on any of your tours, so long as I can keep you in sight. And so long as you stop going off-roading. Who do you think you are? Ricky Carmichael? And just when I thought the day couldn't get any better, my wife called. She's on the ground in Kuwait waiting to get a ride North. She said there's a Harley dealership so the GI's can have a new bike waiting for them when they get home, and she's going to go in and brag about her husband's Buell. Heh. I'm pretty sure I'll have one waiting for her when she gets home... (Message edited by scotty_j on May 07, 2007) |

SCORE!! Thanks again Erik.A little sanding for the rust and some heat resistant primer/paint and it'll be good as new. As the saying goes... "why buy new when used will do" I can't wait for the next group ride.Incidentally,i'm sorry guys'..i had a responsibility to lead a safe ride and i went and did that stupid stunt.I WILL NOT lead anyone into unsafe territory again. |
