Hi Art, Ya, I'm still here. I really don't get into the bike night stuff anymore or even the poser runs, but do hit all the bike shows, bikeweek and the bike drags. There's just to many squirrels showing up for my taste. Just to let you know, Chosa's HD (Buell group) usually rides somewhere at least once a month on Saturdays. Carey Johnson heads up the group, nice friendly dude. I spoke with Carey about 3 weeks ago and he mentioned they're putting together a BRAG group too. If you're interested, contact him (via sales) at Chosa's and see what they have scheduled. You should be able to reach him via their website too ... I have before. I'd rather not give out his home telephone number without his permission. Chosa's Local BRAG Link Course, you could give him a ring at the dealership at (480)894-0404. Carey is a long time Buell rider and a strong Buell supporter. I haven't a clue how many show up for their rides (probably 4 or 5). Maybe Rob Sites (Local Hooligan) will jump in here and give you a clue. I think he's made at least one trip with them ... dunno. S'later, -JW:>) |

jim thanx for dropping the info on the chosa's brag group. i dropped by there to get the tranny fixed and found many of the workers to be supporters of and owners of buell. it was a much easier shop for me to feel comfortable at chosa's than in than some of the others around here. iG |

Dave, As you know, Carey isn't at Chosas anylonger. I was pretty schocked when I found out. I worked in L.A. most of last year, so I didn't see him. The last time I saw him, he was getting some head work done on his bike. I "think" I still have his phone number if you need it (e-mail me). Not sure what happened to their track bike either. BTW, they had a pretty sweet 97 S1 forsale there. Of course they're asking way to much for it. I never heard back from them once I made my offer on the bike. One of my buds at Chosas (Dan Klann -ButtHeadRacing) told me they didn't have a Buell saleperson there anylonger. Seems sales and service are down quite a bit too. It's not to hard to understand considering the unemployment rate. Cheers, -JW:> |

JW I placed a call to Chosa's to find out the standing of the Brag chapter this a.m., but they told me to call back later since they had no idea what was going on now that Carey was gone. If my memory is correct, sometime around late October 2002 Carey went from sales to the parts department and I figured he would not last last long unless this move was just some sort of double secrete probation thing for some past dealer related issue. I think that was the last I saw him. Sure hope he landed somewhere good. Anyway, I was just trying to re-up my membership for this year at the local brag group but it looks like it may have folded up and blown away. DAVE |

Well per the current FUELL issue the Southwest Torque-fest is to have it's kick off at a Dealer party at Chosa's Friday Oct 3. Do I take this to confirm that the Brag Group is still live and well? Will this be a standing room only party for Buell? Or a party of inclusion with the local Hog group for a Friday night diner ride thing? |

Per National BRAG as of this a.m. Chosa's has not renewed its local brag chapter membership for this year yet. So unless it is just a mix up of paperwork, my guess would be that Arizona does not have a local BRAG Group any more. But on a good note eight people are already registered for Torque-fest in October. |

As far as I know, the BRAG group is still alive as well as the Southwest Torque-fest in Safford. Mark Leresche (a Buell rider and racer type) from Chosa's is taking over the BRAG group duties. I should be able to officially confirm this for you by tomorrow and a few other things. -JW:> |

I had planned to do the Torque-fest before I learned of the date, but I'll be halfway thru a Mexico to Canada ride (via as many backroads as possible). Anyone participating in the Helmet Harbor charity run this weekend? I'll be there with a couple of friends, weather permitting. |
