long time coming.. . for those of you that remember my XB dash face project, the finals are in production! i've been prototyping over the past 4mo. + working out all the kinks, i'm only a few weeks away from being ready to ship the black flame design a few of you were interested in. soooo.... i'm now an official BadWeb sponsor and will sell gauge faceplates under my sister co PDGMoto. I have an Excel list of interested parties from over the winter, i'll be emailing all of you. in the meantime, i've got a banner in rotation on BadWeb and a site up here: PDGMoto.com | Buell XB Dashfaces first run outta the gates is limited so if you're still interested, please PM me or speak up now (Message edited by typeone on May 03, 2007) |

Welcome on board as a BadWeB sponsor Clinton. Your limited first production run is likely to cause much consternation among those not fortunate enough take delivery from it. Good luck and thanks for your support! |

Thanks, Blake! FYI that anyone who responded in the previous thread that Blake has kindly added above will be receiving a PM from me. I'm half-way through the list but hit a wall on msg's allowed within an hour. hahaa. If you're still interested, excellent, you all are first on the list. If not, no sweat, but let me know so that I can remove you to allow someone else to hop in. Little more detail on what I've been going through to get these produced to my standards... Essentially I ended up working with a vendor out west creating prototype designs with various inks and materials, we went through about 4 rounds. After about 3mo it became obvious that this product needed to be much more durable than what they could provide, even though they looked fantastic. A final stress test a few weeks ago failed, I needed to begin working with another vendor at that point. My new vendor produces custom gauges and instrument panels for the after-market motorcycle and automotive industries (including Harley Davidson) as well as boating (Chris Craft) and farm equip. (Case). Basically they know how to make stuff last in a tough environment. This is exactly what I needed. So, in a nutshell, the process above has been the reason for such a delay. |

Tank, just responded, thanks! and what do you mean by 'fishy'? I'm a verified PayPal member since '01 and now a BadWeb Sponsor... hoping others don't see it as fishy. Jwhite601, yes, you can order directly through the site. Faceplates will begin shipping the last week in May unless my printer gets the run to me before that. they're in production now. EDIT: the only batch at the printer right now is exactly as pictured on the site. no customizations are possible for this run. (Message edited by typeone on May 03, 2007) |

Looks like a good product, but I think I'll wait for a non-flamed one. I do love the nice clear numbers though! |

I like both of those above as well but since the flame one is the only thing available at this time...... I'm taking it. If Clinton does come out with some more designs then I'll probably buy a few more. that way, depending on my mood will depend on what dash goes in |

For those who have ordered already, thank you!! Regarding different designs.. . correct, the flame design is the only one in production at this time. At some point I'll take a poll on another design, see how the numbers shake out, then produce a final. I wish I had the ability to do one-offs right now but the quality just wasn't there with the cheaper/faster materials and inks. I'm still planning to inquire about other options with my printer. |

I'll take one if I could get the skull. That would be cool. The flame is nice but I like skulls. Nice work!!! |

re: redline for 9, i kept the coloring generic for both 12 and 9 using the orange 7 then red 8, 9. none of them will be more specific than that. re: other designs, the flame will be the only design available at this time. no edits are possible. thanks!! |

Anyone removing a stock XB12 black and white gage face that's interested in working out a deal for it please PM me. I have the XB9 silver and orange one and I hate it. I've been printing my own and they don't last long. plus my replacements look crappy at night. I'll still want a custom one when new designs become available, but hopefully this will get me through until then. (Message edited by diablobrian on May 04, 2007) |

Northrock + Wazza.. . i'd definitely like to offer a KPH version but need to see how this first round does, they're just too costly for me to create all the versions i'd like right now. |
