My wife and I are suffering a seating arrangement problem I have not heard addressed yet. We are roughly the same height but her feminine build has her with legs that are quite a bit longer than mine, and with a shorter torso. The net effect is that when on the bike she is staring directly into the back of my head. I've read lots of opinions on various aftermarket seats, but I'm wondering if anyone can offer an opinion on which might have the largest rider/passenger differential? |

Maybe a pillow under the wife's toosh would giver her an extra inch or 2. Just a thought. |

The low 2006 or standard 2007 seat would drop you ~1.5 inches or so relative to her. It's probably not enough where she could see over your head but it would probably improve the view somewhat. |

Hey Mike thanks for the suggestion, tried that before......just never on the bike. Seriously though she has a bad enough time keeping from falling asleep. I'd be afraid of anything that would be slippery or make her more teetery on the seat. I know she's sleeping when her helmet tinks the back of my when I hit the brakes! Hughlysses that's all I'm really after. I'm not looking to have her towering over me like a 70's chopper. If she was any shorter I would wouldn't even worry about, it's just so close that a little bump would make a big difference. I did try the 2006 low at the dealer when I bought the bike and felt it splayed my legs out too far, haven't tried the '07 though. Any opinions on the Corbin? |

Low - here are a few pictures of the 06 stock, 06 low and 07 stock seats. You can see the height difference and profile difference. As I passneger, I like the 07 seat best.

Thanks Ulywife, that is a fantastic illustration of the differences. I truly appreciate it. I have heard quite a few good things about the '07 seat, good to hear a passenger likes it as well. |

I just put the 07 seat on my 06. I had both the stock and low 06 seats. My wife really likes the fact that the orange section of the 07 seat is textured. She doesn't slide forward if I have to make a sudden stop and she feels much more secure. The 07 takes a little getting used to but I like it! |

You could ride on the back and let her "drive". |

How about building a small pad to raise her seating position and covering it with non-slip rubber matting (I don't know what you guys call it but I'm sure they sell it over there),kind of a flexible rubber mesh(like fish-net stockings but it's getting a bit kinky now!) |
