Any body got a good way to remove wheel bearing from a PM rim on 02 M2? Should I go buy a bearing puller? |

Hey I have a 97 with Pm's, I replaced front and rear bearings a couple of months ago. I heated the rim at the point of bearing contact with a heat gun and a propane torch. Once the rim was heated, I took a long tapered punch and drove the bearings out from the oppisite side. i.e. punched the right side out through the left side opening. Once you get one side out the other side is very easy. I did end up nicking the spacer in between the bearings, but took a file and cleaned up the nicks. There is also some very useful information in the knowledge vault on bearing instalation. Hope this helps MT |
