Anyone running this new version on a "Tuber" and care to post some feedback? Thinking about it for my 2000 M2. It's supposed to use the stock mounting bracket on the back. Can't seem to find anything about dimensions either. Thank's

That looks just like the old Buell "race" can from years ago. I ran the Buell version on my M2. I didn't install any of the discs, only the outer spout piece. Jetted appropriately I'd swear it ran better than it ever did with the V&H on it. |

i fully polished mine and ran it with 21 discs and an open end cap, sounds and works great. i plan on using it when i get the motor finished as well. i added some extra rubber isolators at the rear mounting bolt, helped a lot with the previous version. |

I have the old style megaphone supertrapp running with all of the disks and the closed end cap. It is a little loud, but runs great. And I said, I don't care if they lay me off either, because I told, I told Bill that if they move my desk one more time, then, then I'm, I'm quitting, I'm going to quit. And, and I told Don too, because they've moved my desk four times already this year, and I used to be over by the window, and I could see the squirrels, and they were merry, but then, they switched from the Swingline to the Boston stapler, but I kept my Swingline stapler because it didn't bind up as much, and I kept the staples for the Swingline stapler and it's not okay because if they take my stapler then I'll set the building on fire... -- Milton Waddams |

I love that actor Stephen Root who played Milton Waddams. He's also the same guy who does the voice for Bill on 'King of the Hill'. |

That is the exact same unit that Buell called the "Pro-Series" back when the Tubers where still in production. I have it on my bike. I'm very happy with it, except that there is a little retention screw on the bottom that holds the innards in place. If that screw drops out, the entire baffle section will shift backwards and seal against the end cap effectively plugging your exhaust. This resulted in very bad things and it took me a couple of days to figure out what the heck happened. I installed a new bolt with high-temp lock-tite. It's a good reason to run the end cap on this unit - if the retention screw dropped out and you weren't running the end cap, the entire baffle and core could slide out, contact the rear tire and ruin your day. If I had to replace the exhaust on my bike today, I'd still buy the supertrapp unit. Nick PS) Office Space is possibly the greatest movie, ever. I had that model on my '99 M2. You'll want to add some discs to get the best performance out of it, but it's a great pipe. I think I ran mine with about 20 discs. The sound is a bit muffled compared to the full race exhaust from Buell, but it still sounds great, very streetable. |

How many discs does it come with? I see you can purchase a 6 or 12 pack of extras. What do you guys suggest? And, is it about the same size as the OEM, or hopefully a little trimmer. |

This is a great unit. I've got it on a '00 M-2. Replaced a V&H that self distructed. I run 14 discs, great sound. I'd get another, bit I did upgrade to the new y-style front mount. |

Thats the pipe I have on my 99 X1(thats for sale in the classifieds) and it sounds great. The discs are to tune the sound to your liking, but you probably know that. But anyway, it is a great can. chris |

that's the updated version, mine doesn't have the updated cone reinforcement up front and it came two peice, not happy with the guy who sold it to me cause he said it was the updated version. if you can get this one and do like sleez and the other's said about adding more discs and the race open end instead of the one that comes with it, you have a great pipe. |

Working with a used one. Getting a 12 pack of discs and open end cap from American Sport Bike. Compared to my two brothers and SS2R it is a bit heavy. For the guys that have the Buell race version. Do you have the part number for the clamp. The t-bolts are stripped on the Ebay special. Just exploring options. I have been to clampco's web site. I can get the bands but not the whole assembly. I have on on my 2000 M2, it's a great pipe. I've got the open end cap on mine, it still isn't too loud but still sounds great. I'd buy another on in a heartbeat. Brad |

I'm running that same unit on my 01 S3T. I used all the disks and the closed cap--they mount on an insert inside the can. I think it sounds great and performance of the bike with this, the K&N a/f and the race ECM is awesome! My story and I'm stickin to it! Barry Hollister, CA |

Rippin - that's the way I ran mine, and the bike loved it. No discs. No endcap disc. Just the spout on the outside. Set off every car alarm for 2 blocks! |
