I asked Mom, and she said absolutely not. She said you are supposed to immediately send the one in the back to my garage until she decides what your punishment. And she said not to bring the topic up again. Honest. |

I"m likin it so far -- it's my bagger, or will be when I get the Givi's ordered -- hasn't got the "shot out of a gun" torque reaction of the apex that the Tuber does (at least no now, in the middle of the most cruel breakin procedure known to upright human kind), but it handles way better than I expected something that weighs a claimed 438 pounds dry sorta kinda tubine-like in the power delivery -- can't wait til it hits 1K miles and I can let it rip |

I've trying to convince the wife that I need a dual sport style bike. But I think I'll go this route in the somewhat near future...

Next you'll be getting an MGTC to go in the entropy lab. You have joined the R.A.T. group, haven't you?
This one looks interesting, but this is a close as I can get (They don't take Buells in trade over there.)

I"m told my membership is automatic after buying the bike -- shudder (MGTAnything . . . . ) the Model A is being stripped, slowly, for paint -- that should keep me away from any old Limey Iron ;-} |

I snagged the green pic from http://www.triumphrat.net/modules.php?op=modload&n ame=News&file=index , popped up on their revolving album link towards the bottom left. That site is kind of like BadweB, lots of stuff buried on the site, lots of distractions too. |

Ran/drove over to the localest Trumpet dealership at lunch. That Tiger is another tip-toe bike with my limited leg reach, more doable than the Uly but still a reach. Best guess on the salescritter's part is that the green bike in the mini-pic above is it's either a Bonneville or Thruxton with an aftermarket fairing and a fender eliminator kit, and maybe a few other things done to it as well. The Triumph Scrambler looked kind of fun, but the high exhaust shield got in the way of my leg and interferred with my right foot alignment on the footpeg. Bummer. T100 seat didn't feel overly good. Didn't care for the RocketIII forward controls. Started feeling like Goldylocks and left before the three bears arrived. Funny how they won't even consider a Buell in trade and start to walk away as soon as you mention one. Oh well, enough tangent wanderings in Sir Bomber's thread. Maybe I'll go pester the indirect outlaw this weekend about his TT600 that he keeps thinking about selling.... |

Bonnie seats are well know to be a pain in the inner thigh -- the foam is firm (good), and cut to almost a right angle at the edges (bad) -- took it to a seat guy, who rounded the edges nicely, for minimal bucks (sez he does two or three a week!) I am reminded of the Pete Egan thought -- if the factories all know the stock seats are uncomfortable, why don't they put the comfortable seats on as stock, and offer the painful seats as an option Tiggers have an optional lo seat, to those that like being closer to terra firma Rockets are so fugly they make my teeth hurt -- hard to believe Rockets and Bonnies spring from the same works tangent wanderings are what made this country GREAT, I tell ya! |

Corbin makes a good seat for the Bonnie, or so I'm told. I test drove a Bonnie for about 6 hours a few months ago (great dealer in Lynchburg Va)and the seat didn't bother me at all. Had a great time on it and, had I not gotten the Blast so cheap, would be riding Bonnie home. |
