I am considering purchasing a 2006 lightning long. Part of my riding will be commuting 50 miles a day on mild mountain roads. What sort of mpg should I expect? (mild driving) thx bengt |

I would like to find a slightly taller than stock dark smoke windscreen for my 97 S3T. My stock one is badly scratched after I accidently "polished" it with a rag that must have had a sheet metal screw hidden in it. Hint: always use a new cloth to polish a windscreen-duh! Can someone please guide me to a web site so I can order a replacement. Thanx

Itsbent, check with Gustafson(sp) windscreens, they were original equipment on S-2's and offer different size options. Greg.I change my oil and filter every 2500,cheap insurance. |

To Itsbent; Check around your local airport for a Micromesh kit. They are made to repair scratches in aircraft windows. Yours may be saveable. Good luck, in any case. |

I haven't sold a Gustafsson screen since I bought the biz...The ZeroG screens have a nicer profile, IMHO, so I stock them instead. Long ago, before I bought A.S.B., I put a Gustafsson screen on my S3. For 10 minutes. Then I took it off and sold it. I thought it looked awful. It looked like a huge bubble on the front of the bike. Like Jim, I change oil every 2500, oil and primary every 5K. Maybe not necessary, but it doesn't cost that much, and that oil change is where I go over the whole bike and look for other things that may need attention. |

AKBuell- Ditto for the Zero Gravity screen. I've had mine on for 7 years and have been very happy with it. Not the best pic, but it should give you an idea of how it looks.

What does everybody think about the prices posted by Seminole Buell? All used bikes have an additional 300 for set up and all new bikes are the 300 plus 249 for freight. 06 XB12Ss with 1000 miles for 7500, XB12X for 9999 thx Bengt |

F1, I really like the Spyder as well. It seems to have become a sick perversion for me. I will probably buy one. Here's why. 1) My wife wants a "scooter". This thing qualifies and then some. I feel better about throwing her the keys to this than a Metropolitan. 2) My dad wants to start to ride. He has never ridden a motorcycle. He is 62. I think it would be more stable and more forgiving than something else. He wants a trike. This is a trike that isn't a complete abomination. 3) I think they are cool. The V990 is a great engine. Would be a great next generation Buell powerplant. The price is great for what you get. |

this may or may not be the place for my "rant" but... 5 days a week, twice a day, i commute past an ex-Buell dealer who has not removed thier Buell signage from a window that displays directly to I-95. They do switch the H/D motorcycles every couple of weeks though(in the same window). I only found out that they had let the Buell franchise go when I went inside to buy an oil filter and shop manual from them a couple of years ago. I was told at that time that I wouldn't be able to buy any parts from them anymore. Why does it irritate me so to see the sign STILL in the window? |

The Harley store next town up the road from me had a big blue BUELL sign on front of building..... for 2 years after they quit selling Buell bikes, parts, and "service". Tried to BUY the sign from them, but they claimed it had to "Go Back". pretty annoying to drive past a sign advertising unavailable merchandice. |

Hi All Brand new forum member and looking to purchase an xb12r in the very near future. I'm trying to find out what changes there have been to the xb12r from about 2004 to 2007. I have test driven a 2007 and love it but am thinking a used one might be the ticket for me as I have a few other bikes already. Is there a site that spells out the changes year by year or does someone here know the major differences since '04. Sure would appreciate it! |

Itsbent, Plus 3 for the Zero Gravity. I put it on my s3, and it makes a substantial difference in the wind shearing.
