With all the black on black on black going around, someone had to use all those amber rims. It's subtle, but I like it.

Good work - I've never seen orange referred to as subtle before. Looks nice. Shame about the neighbourhood. ;-P |

Yea but the orange ones end up getting wrecked and left in a ditch |

What's wrong with the neighborhood? I know we don't have kangaroos and hobbits running the streets, but it ain't bad. I put the orange on the wheels to try to get them to spin a little faster! |

Nice. Off Topic.. but Where's the Best Place to Hunt a Rear Mudgaurd n Belt Cover Thingo from a Lightning or Whatever (I'm Guesing they are All Interchangable????) to Replace the Uly Stocker... I wanna Show MORE Wheel and Belt, but to Totally Remove them (lower as well) Would Court Disaster-Shit in the Pulley n Shocker. Cheers N x |

Ya need to have the kickstand gold coated too. It would help with your "everything is gold" tripod motif. And you should really clean that brown spot off the seat before you photograph it. Ha!..........made you look! |

I'm afraid your race pipe may just need to be goldmembered! |

Are those Uly wheels? I thought the front rim was different due to it's intended use. Looks nice though. |

The Uly wheels have approximately a pound more aluminum in each wheel to provide additional strength for off road duty. The front spokes are thicker from wheel to wheel, and a pound of aluminum goes a long way. I don't ride my bike off road, so the lack of additional reinforcement isn't an issue. Now I just need a Wilbers set-up and I'll be as cool as Chad! |

Where did those heavy wheels go???? Riding the CityX as a ULY, I could use an extra hand with some durability here now and again.... Of course I would have to have them powder coated. Either a thick deep dark black, or dare to be dangerous and make it a deep true ORANGE |

I still have them. I plan to use them to swap tires quickly. |

Looks good, but it needs a little more. I think if you went with the orange plastics and seat it would look complete. Better yet, just ship me the wheels and I'll try it out for you. Really though, nice job Fatty. Did you use the Buell sticker that still says American Motorcycles or the newer one that just says Buell? I was looking at some '07 bikes the other day and think the new stickers seem incomplete. I could never remove it completely like some. I get a kick out of people trying to pronounce it hear in NM. I hear "Bwell" more than anything. The best are my friends who ride Harleys and ask me who makes a Buell and why are they sold at Harley dealers? Just more fine examples of why Buell should not be in HD showrooms. (Message edited by jmhinkle on April 17, 2007) |

I used the older Amber tank decals with the "American Motorcycles". I wanted the raised letters as well as the bar below the decal. |

Yep, I met with a 10 inch deep pot hole. I still have the dented rim. |

Just curious, did you purchase the amber rims new, or did you find 'em used? Them Storms are cool-lookin' tires, too. |

"Gold Member".... Ya ever notice that everything he touches turns to gold except for those little pieces of skin that he eats, and the ones that he saves in the "skin box"?? It looks like he has been touching the Uly of Ft_bstrd. |

Another nice touch might be to turn the belt tensioner pulley gold. I think that the tensioner wheel is a neat looking piece of hardware that is underplayed. |

I was actually thinking about that. I agree. It was one of the features of the Buells that most captured my attention. |

Looking good. +1 on gold plating the pipe, may as well have the fork tubes coated (Ohlins style) while you're at it. |
