I'd like to find an S3T/S2 with saddlebags. I'm getting spoiled by my S1 and my FLHP - even with the performance motor work - just isn't enough for me anymore! Ideally I'm looking for a white bike with wide saddlebags, but will consider others. Trade situations (Buell+cash for the FLH) are considered - the only way I can get this by the Budget Committee (aka wife) is if the FLH goes. *Apparently* three bikes is too many.... Travelling within a reasonable distance of Maryland is also possible - have pickup, can haul. Send me your pics! joe |

1996 FLHP, I bought it from City PD with 17k miles on it (in 2004) and it now has 53?k. At 40k I did a top end rebuild because of leaking base gaskets - .005" OS forged 10.5:1 Screamin Eagle pistons, ported/polished/big valve heads, V-Thunder .570" lift cam, adjustable S/E pushrods, Daytona TwinTec adjustable curve singlefire ignition, rejetted the carb (thunderslide kit), Cometic gaskets and Sifton oil return line kit (NO base gasket leaks ever again!). Factory head pipe with Screamin' Eagle II slash-cut mufflers. Dyno chart running WAAAAY too rich was nearly 90 RWHP, respectable for a stock-size 1340 Evo motor with a pig-rich condition. I'm going to run it again here soon with the proper a/f and see what it puts down. I have walked away from countless brand new 96-inch bikes on group rides with this bike. It also has S/E 11 plate clutch pack (twin-cam spec), OEM 2006 easy pull clutch, 2005 OEM clear lens head and passing lamps. This winter it got a new belt, new swingarm bushings, new primary seals. Has sealed front wheelbearing update kit and poly handlebar bushings. Factory riser-mount tach. HD Heated grips. Black long stem mirrors. New windshield. "Homebrew" FLHT detachable fairing for when it's really cold (fairing mounted to detachable windshield bracketry; birch white). Nylon clip-on lower fairings that strap to engine guard for rain or cold riding. Air ride seat - best seat EVER. Rear air shocks. Front air forks. Flat black "Radio" box on back used as tour pak for rain gear, has high mount LED stop light and rear LED "emergency" (wink, wink) flashers to get tailgaters to back off. Box mounted far enough back to accept HD Sundowner passenger pillion; pillion is included with bike, rarely used. Hard saddlebags. Bags and radio box all have "hockey puck" latches, open any from the saddle. Still Birch White with reflective blue striping on bags and tank. This bike is ridden daily, all maintenance / wear items are up to date and in excellent condition. No leaks, drips or smoke. It is NOT by any means a show bike. It cleans up nicely but there are some dings and scrapes from Police use that I never fixed because I knew I'd be riding it (and I DO ride it...I've posted competitive times thru local Battletrax days with it, actually) Wear a white helmet, and nobody will cut you off or tailgate you. I can take pics for those interested, but (surprise) it's dirty right now from late season rain/snow/salt... |

Just had the FLHP dynoed: 68* temp, 29.68 baro, 29% humidity. 78.00 hp (5500rpm) and 89.93 lb-ft (3300rpm) at the rear wheel. A/F leans just a tad at 3k (to about 14:1), then creeps rich to a max of 11:1 rich around 5k. The cam is a V-Thunder EVL-5005, .569"/.569". |

Well, thanks everyone for your responses and help. I brought a Snap Red 95 S2 home last Friday night and I love it. Couple issues...but altogether? Probably the best bike I've owned yet. |
