Plans are pretty well set. There really isn't much to organize. I know the route. Just waiting (like everyone else) for it to warm up. Date is still set for Sat., May 19. Meeting time TBD, probably late morning to give some travel time to get to Altoona. Rain date will be the following Sat. To do the 100 mile loop usually takes 1 1/2 hours to 2 hours, depending on how spirited the ride gets. Another option is riding to lunch or supper. Anyone up for some finger lickin' BBQ? The BBQ is about 1/2 hour away with some nice back country roads to get there. Anyone else from the PA thread going to March Badness IV? |

I should post the Res. Ride on a few other Storm Front threads, maybe the Columbus, OH and DC/MD/VA threads as well. Rasmonis, from the MD thread has been on a shortened Res. Ride. He said he was going to try and bring some more friends along next time. |

Toona, I am interested in the ride. I should have a few coming with me. One from VA, one from Philly. Are riders of other bikes invited? |

Not a problem Kuuud. Just putting it out there to gather some interest. If you wait too long, then people say, "Geee, I wish I would have known about this sooner". Kind of what happened last year. |

Toona, saw you have a reservoir ride planned for May 19. We are having the Buell Demo Truck at The Buell/H-D Store of Baltimore that same weekend, May 19 and 20. It would be great to get a few Buellers from PA to stop in and say "Hi!" As I get more details, I will post them here. |

Ahh, I figured sooner or later there would be a date conflict. I guess for the eastern PA guys, the Demo Day at Balti might be a go. We went down last year and had a good time, approx. 500 miles that day. I can home and ordered a Select seat.... The Res. Ride date could be moved back a week, to the 26th. I doubt I would be available the prior week (12th) as the 10th is my daughters B-day and my family usually holds the B-day party on that weekend. I know that Rasmonis wanted to bring a group up from Frederick, MD for the ride. Last year Ras went to the Balti Demo Day, so I'll check in again w/ him to see if he's planning on going again. |

I checked with Rasmonis from the DC thread, they (The DC Gang) are planning on going to the Balti Demo Day. I'm gonna move the date for the Reservoir Ride back a week to May 26th. Ride start time 11:00. That should give some travel time for a 2-3 hour ride to get here w/o leaving in the early morning darkness. I'll try to figure out how to post maps/pics from Google/Mapquest. Who knows, maybe I'll also figure out how to get a video of the Res. Ride. Video's seem to do a lot of good for promoting the "event". I'll be taking mental notes at MB4 on how it is done. |

Dano, Not sure what the #123 burger is, but if it includes a ride up that way, I'm game! Anything out your way? (Latrobe) I could always use an excuse to ride to Clem's BBQ on Rt 22. I've got to reset my TPS and install the last few screws/bolts to finish up my Firebolt tail swap from this winter. I extended the wiring and rebuffed a few aluminum bits that dulled over the winter. 11 Days (Thurs 28th) until I take off for March Badness IV. Anyone else from PA going? |

Toona, thats the 123 pound burger[new record]only $360.00! I'm only about 18 mi. from Clem's ,good BBQ,anytime. We just got hit w/10in. snow, looking for the melt down. MBIV sounds like a great time. Was down that way when Buell did the Dragon.Really great riding area! |

We got around 7"-8" here. One last chance to "play" with the snowblower. I put a rock thru the plastic directional chute, so I made a new one from 1/16" aluminum reinforced with a 1/8" aluminum plate. It's not going to break again! Now to add some Stabil and put it away for the summer (gotta think positive) I'm going to hit the Dragon twice this year, once for MB and the other when I go to Knoxville, TN the first part of May. |

Here near Philly some places got a couple inches of snow. Mostly it just rained and rained and the wind blew hard. Sump pump has been running and lost a very large part of a tulip poplar in my yard. Power failure at work so the office was closed early. Can't complain though. Today the roads are clean and starting to dry so by the weekend it should be in the sixties and sunny. One concern I have after a rain like this is the water table is high. At places the water just springs up through cracks in the pavement. Even before this rain I nearly lost it in a set of 3 sharp 90 degree curves (sign warns 10 mph so my speed was modest). The middle curve had a patch of wet pavement about a fort wide and 3 feet long right about the middle of the curve. I never saw it. The bike seemed to turn into jello like something in the frame had come apart or a wheel was loose. It started to slide out on me (Lowside I guess) and I instinctively put my right foot down. I guess at the second my foot hit pavement, the wheels must have passed the wet spot and hit dry pavement. The rear end gave a giant jerk and the right foot peg hit me in the soft part of the calf - ouch. After a couple more half fishtails the bike was fine and I was wondering what had just happened. I had to ride back to see what the problem was. I thought it must have been an oil spot but it was a relatively small isolated wet spot on otherwise completely dry pavement. I generally try to keep my feet in the pegs but this was reflex. I "think" it helped in this case but I could easily have broken a shinbone I bet. |

Ahhh, that feels good to be back on 2 wheels w/o freezing your butt off! Put another 250 smiles on today and the odometer turned 10,000 miles! Rode about 75% of the Res Ride today. Can't believe it a little over a month away already. |

Hotdog271, Homecoming is an annual event when all Buell owners are invited to East Troy, WI for a gathering and lots of fun events. If you go to the Buell website you can get on an email list for such announcements. See this site: http://buell.rsys1.net/servlet/cc5?ImtQSBRQBVIQIhO LjkxJhuJHklQgLlV2VR |
