Does anyone know where I could pick up a Braided SS Rear Brake line for a 1998 S3 w/ a 2000 Swingarm? I thought I the part number for it went to Hacienda Harley, and after several obsoletes, and P/N changes it finally came in and was the rubber line just like I already Have.
Any help will be appreciated,
Thx

Go to a renowned custom shop. Braided lines can be made up from kits that a well equipped outfit will keep readily on stock.

A kit usually consists of a case with compartments filled with many different fittings. These fittings are designed as a push together snap fit for the stainless line. Stainless line will be in several bore sizes and diameter that will be available together with the variety of fittings. A stockist of such should be able to get you up and running (braking, lol) in a matter of minutes.

Ask around. Search your neighbourhood.

Thank you rocket. I was looking for a stock line but your way seems to be the only way to get the rear binders on my side again.
Later.

On my S1W I changed my line, one because it's rubber, and two, because I wanted to take out the rear brake light switch.

The simple answer for me was custom build. One thing I will say though. There are different quality stainless lines and ends out there. Goodridge in the UK are top of the game. HEL, also UK based, are bike specific. They too are highly regarded.

My guess would be, you'd either send them a stock line to copy, or convey your needs accurately by whatever communication.

Good luck.

On the American Sport Bike site it shows:
#5444 98 Brake Line Clear Coated Stainless Steel Hose Rear S3 S3T - Add $93.76

I don't know what the difference would be with the 2000 swing arm instead??

I think it should be just a little longer as the '98 had the rectangle steel tubing for the swing arm, and the '00 has the aluminum. the line for the '98 just fits. but it is taunt with the mounting to clear the wheel/tire on the left side.

I think that a line for a 99 S3 might be what you need. Check with the major after market providers. Here is a picture of my swing arm.
