I bought a xb9r with 2400 miles on it? It has a excellent condition factory race exhaust on it. I want something a little louder. Anyone one want to trade ? I am looking for a drummer or Special OPS. } |

You won't get really louder out either one.. |

Oh yes, the Drummer and the SpecOps are both louder than the Buell Race Kit one. I had the original Nine version of the SecOps for testing. After the testing, Odie said I could keep it. I did, for quite a while, until the loudness got to me. Since I didn't want to go stock, I got another Race muffler (I gave my old on to New12r) and have been happy ever since with the noise. I liked the power delivery down low all the way to red line you get with Odie's pipe, and miss it sometimes, but I just couldn't get comfortable with it on all day mountain runs. While out on all day mountain runs, the Race pipe does very nicely, and the "weakness" down low doesn't come into play. I hardly notice at all to be truthful. |

I went back to stock, and I couldn't be happier. I loved both mufflers I had, but my hearing and comfort is more important. I've never heard a race muffler, so I can't compare the sound. Wish they still made it for my bike though...
