Check this out. I found this video on 1130cc.com, its a VROD trying to keep up with a Honda Goldwing on the Dragon! That dude on the GW can ride, like to see what he could do on an XB. Listen closely to the scraping pipes on the VROD. Awesome. |

Well, one up for VRods, I dont think the rider was "The greatest", and the guy on the Goldwing looked pretty good. The VRod sounds like he is shutting it down very soon into the corners and doesn't open back up till he's straight again. Still, a Goldwing has pretty respectable Drag Race numbers, and thats what that really was as neither bike was "Taking" the corners. |

I've surprised a few sportbikes on a Honda Pacific Coast. |

Isn't there a resident on the dragon with a suped up Wing that has raised ride height for better cornering clearance and top shelf suspension components who routinely entertains himself by embarassing guys on pure sportbikes? I think he runs a video business where he'll follow you through the dragon and he guarantees that you won't be able to get away from him. Probably not the same Wing though... |

The camera bike in that video is also a goldwing. That sound is unmistakable. |

That's what I thought... Good god, if a V-Rod sounded like that, people would have burned Wille on a stake. |

There is a dude that lives up in the neck of the woods or something that rides a Goldwing and absolutely schools sportbike riders every day of the week and twice on Sunday. He's well known up there and always around. |

I'm local to the Dragon. Didn't see the video, but this sounds like it can only be the guy who goes buy Yellow Wolf. He has a lot of money into the suspension on that wing. He is also an extremely skilled rider. He can keep up with all but the very fastest guys on sport bikes. He follows riders though the dragon shooting the ride and it recording directly to a DVD. If you like it he will sell it to you for $50. No obligation if you don't like it, but the videos are of professional quality. Everyone buys them. I heard that he sold the wing and is going back to trucking. Not sure if it true or not, but I have not seen him out this year. |

All I can say is I've been to the Dragon a few times and BOTH of those guys can ride. If you've never been there, those corners and elevation changes are challenging enough on a sport bike let alone a cruiser, regardless of suspension work. |
