I live outside Knoxille, TN. Was wondering if anybody who lived in the area knew who would be the best dealer to take my bike to.(XB12R) I am looking for a good engine tuner not someone who can change my oil. I intend to get everything out of my buell i can without taking the engine apart and need some advise. |

I have to put out a good word about Stone Mountain Harley/Buell in Maryville(just south of Knoxville). Last Sept. on our trip to Deals Gap, one of the guys had a voltage regulator fail. Stone Mountain had him back on the road the next day, and hooked us up with a couple of t-shirts free. I'm sorry I don't remember their names, but two of the salesmen and two of the techs own Buells. Super nice guys. They should be able to help out, or point you in a good direction.(and if you do go in there, check out the other"scenery" as well...not bad ) Tank |

We are not located in Kentucky. There is only one Stone Mountain H-D & Buell, and we are located in Lilburn, GA. Thanks for the sales pitch just wrong location. If you can't find one just call the service dept and ask what they know about Buells if your unsure. Smokescreen Stone Mountain Harley-Davidson & Buell 2060 Ross Road Lilburn, GA 30047 770-979-7999 |

the Dealer in Maryville Tn. is Smoky Mtn HD. I can't say anything about them, but Stone Mountain HD & B is the best Buell dealer in the world! |

I'll second that on Stone Mountain. MR. GTO -- for what you want to do, Smokescreen is the guy to go to. He can square you away, and he can point you in the direction of the right people if he can't do it. Hasn't steered me wrong yet. Bullet |

All I have is the spec ops pipe, half inch holes drilled in air box with stock air filter and stock ecm tune. Im very happy with it like this, much better than stock and I have no problem keeping up with the jap il4s accept for on very long str8s with speeds in excess of 130 or so. And in that particular circumstance you will never keep up on a buell. Seems to me like you start spendin alot of money for small results after you buy an aftermarket pipe. Im sure there are many who will disagree with me on that but oh well. Just my .02. If you are not willing to take the engine apart there is just not a whole lot of extra power to be extracted from the engines in these bikes, with acception to exhaust that is. |
