of those mentioned, my fave is Braq's if I was writing the script for the root beer experience, though -- it'd go like this nice long ride in south central wisconsin (also known as looking for egan's house), hot day, not too hot, stop at a Dog n Suds about 30 minutes from home, sit down w/your riding partner, and have a Balck Cow (AKA, Root Beer Float) 20 minutes discussing the sites, smells, and sounds of the ride, then kickstands up and wander on home to the hammock, and a nicely grilled steak |

STEWARTS ROOT BEER!!!!! A&W and Mug are good with pizza. But all around, Stewarts is the best. It used to be fountain only, but now it's bottled. Check out www.drinkstewarts.com. |

The Cannon Brewpub in Columbus, Georgia makes their own rootbeer. It's more carbonated and has more of a bite than most rootbeers. The rootbeer and IPA are the only things I drink there. |

And then, slightly off the thread, there's Blenheim Ginger Ale out of Carolina. Rocks!!!!!! |

Used to get Dad's out on the U.S. west coast, haven't seen it here in the midwest region. Barq's is good. I'll probably get shot or rooted for this but Sprecher's is "okay", opinion probably due to driving past their brewery too many times on hot days and having the car or helmet filled with their processing "aroma". In reality, the best root beer is home brewed, assuming it doesn't explode the bottles in the basement. |

Is root beer similar to saspirella? I thought root beer was the same thing as saspirella...made from the sassafras tree roots. No?} |

Bad S1 has it nailed. Sprechers is the best I've had. I'm looking forward to having some when I come out for Homecoming. |

My favorite is Dragons Milk, New Holland Brewing Company, Holland, MI. A high gravity series ale.... Root Beer you ask? Dads Root Beer, absolutly knocks the rest down. |

Root beer is good but it doesn't hold a candle to Pennsylvania Dutch Birch Beer!!! Buy it by the keg! Bret |

i am caffeine free, so of your list i prefer IBC,mug or A&W, in that order. i like Barq's, but the "bite" is caffeine!! i really like Stewart's as well, even though it is not on your list. Stewart's Ginger Beer is even better!! |

Sprecher all the way! The boys at Sprecher are super people and are always looking for interesting events to sponsor. Last year I asked them to help us with the musky tournament trail I help with, they bent over backwards to get us both beer and soda. Buell would do well by asking them to sponsor the Homecoming, especially for next year. (Message edited by BuellinaChinashop on April 11, 2007) |

John is right there about Sprecher. I solidly doubt that HD would even want them as Sponsor's because thats just the way they work. But if in this area we as a Buell OWNER'S group needed some help they'd more then be happy. John, Funny A$$ T-shirt in your profile.lol |

I have a couple of contacts over in Glendale, say the word and I'll drop them a line and ask. But, we'd need Buell/HD approval. And like you said, that's doubtfull, especially if Miller or Bud are official beer sponsors of HD. |

I don't think HD even has Miller for Sponsor considering HOG doesn't condone any liquid stupid and bikes but Sprecher on the other hand has Beer's but the Root Beer and other cream soda's they could sell and promote at events. Budweiser though you'll never see HD or any other large company or even Summer Fest or large event get any Sponsorship from Bud just because Miller is a Milwaukee based beer. It's big time political if you ask me. But Back to the Sprecher thing that is a great idea and could be used in the future. |
