In Memory of Holger Turni A near friend and Buell Racer
Died, 07.04.2007 Hockenheim / Germany The best guys always leave first, our friend Holger is dead. He was since 2005 part of the Hillbilly-Motors Raceteam. Always in a good mood, always focused on the needs of the Team he was an engaged Racer. Teamspirit was him not a hollow word. To push a Buell Motorcycle to the limit was him a challenge he worked daily hard for. When the Buell XBRR production racer came out, he ordered directly one, mainly not for him -he saw the need to support his Team. He was an enthusiast, a real friend, one of the absolute good guys. We will miss so much his dry hanseatic humor and his natural warmness. A good friend is so much to early gone forever. Holger Turni died at the 2007 Hockenheim 1000 Km Endurancechallenge racing an Buell XB 12 STT for a Dealerteam. As the knowledge of today no other rider was involved in this race accident. The Hillbilly-Motors Raceteam Jens Krüper Our thoughts are with Marion -his wife, the 3 children and the family. http://www.hillbilly-motors.com/html/good_bye_holger.html |

Very unfortunate for such a pleasant looking fellow and member of the Buell family. I feel very bad for his children who have lost their father, and all of his friends and family. Jimi |

Hello Racers and Racefans, thanks for all your friendly words, e-Mails etc. about the loss of Holger Turni. Funeral will be hold upcoming Friday in Hamburg. It is a fact that everybody who go into that sport have to know the risks. We all always think we are able to calculate them, but from time to time the "worst case" happens. These days I talked with one of Holgers 18 year old sons, there are twins, and he said, "Father died when he was doing one of the things he loved most". Not much more to say... We will print out all your posts and e-Mails and forward them next week to the family. Thanks folks! Jens |
