Stopped by the dealer yesterday. Picked up a copy of the Buell booklet for the 2007 models. The pictures of all the Firebolt and Lightning models are without the passenger pegs and their brackets. It seems slightly dishonest. I'm sure it wasn't by accident. |

Dishonest ? Why ? Four bolts and they are off....... I see H-D photographs without license plate brackets. |

You may or may not be right . . . typically the photo bikes are rushed out well in advance of models being ready. There have been a couple dandy "ooopsies" in which a Buell was photographed, flyers printed and the design subsequently changed. The 1996 S-1 on the cover of the July issue of Cycle World leaps to mind . . |

I personally think the bikes look better without the passenger pegs. However I would be happy to get more than I thought I was getting...the only problem with this is that someone who wanted to have a passenger might think this wasn't an option and would move on to a different bike. |

Whoever produced the booklet, thought they look better without them too. |

Mine came off 4 hours after my XB9R was delivered last month. Looks better, and saves what- 2 lbs? |

They Look great off, but they they minimize damage in a crash if you leave them on. |
