http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Buell-Messenger-Bag _W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ84146QQihZ015QQitemZ25 0101049557QQrdZ1 Some one posted one of the messenger bags given away at MBIV already. I realize it is theirs to do with what they want, but it was given to them. |

Stone Mountain had them for the demo rides at March Badness IV. The same guy that has the messenger bag also has the Buell knee pucks posted that they were giving away as well. I found another messenger bag posted on the 'bay as well IMO, they (the bags and pucks) are too nice to give up. I personally enjoy and appreciate all the stuff that Buell goes out of their way to GIVE anyone that demo's a bike. This stuff isn't free to Buell and I just hate to see someone make a buck on something that was given to them for free, but that's just me. Edited to add: I'm not sure if the dealer has to pay (in part or whole) for the "Freebies" or if they are given to the dealerships by Buell. I only wonder because of the limited number of dealerships that participate in these giveaways. (Message edited by toona on April 05, 2007) |

some people are what they are toona. they'd sell their own kids if they thought they could get away with it to make a buck. if i had an extra one that i didn't want i would send it to someone who couldn't get one, like old_man. of which i probably will get another one here pretty soon if i can get down to demo a bike at the dealer. |

I hope no one buys it and everyone who sees it goes to the dealer to get one free! |

Speaking of the new cool Messenger bags...Has anyone figured out how it works yet? What is the little strap with the clip on it for? |

you strap it over your shoulder like the sling bag and then hook up the belly strap. (Message edited by nevrenuf on April 06, 2007) |

What is the little strap with the clip on it for? My guess....keys. I think the sling bag had a similar attachment. That't were I'd clip my motorcycle & other keys. |

The extra strap on the sling has a clip to allow a different configuration of the waist strap. You can move this extra strap to the D-ring also. I've tried it on both and found the extra sling clip to be the most comfortable. |

i would think there are 2 ways to wear....you could put the shoulder strap on then wear the other around your waist to keep the bag still, forgetting about the little strap... or you could wear the shoulder strap then connect the other long strap to the short one, going under the arm that the shoulder strap is on. I have a Crumpler messenger bag that uses this method and it doesn't move at all when you ride |

If any body has one of these and wants to trade for an unused Sling Bag from last year, let me know. |

this kinda pisses me off. The bags / hats / pucks...any free stuff given by Buell is never available in Canada yet everytime there is a giveaway somebody is trying to make a buck selling them on Ebay. |

I'm not sure if the dealer has to pay (in part or whole) for the "Freebies" or if they are given to the dealerships by Buell. My understanding is that the dealerships pay for the bags/hats, etc. and they send in vouchers/coupons for their reimbursement from Buell. Not sure what the percentage is, but I consider it tacky for someone to go get free things just to turn around a sell for a profit. If we get another bag, I'll ship it to a BadWebber that doesn't have access to a participating dealer. |

Yep, the dealer pays for them up front and then gets paid back for all of them as long as they send in the coupons for the same number they got. End result, 0 cost to the dealer. |

Wow. That is a great looking bag. I am one of the un-fortunates who never gets any free Buell stuff. Im a poor grad student who is one of the biggest Buell fans in the world, yet the only dealer near me does not participate in the freebies. I would love to have that bag, I would even pay some decent money for one, but I'm with you guys, it burns me that people don't take it as a serious incentive from Buell and try to make money from it. Im wanting to get a new Buell in the near future, and I can't even demo one because my local dealer doesn't participate. And I don't have time for a trip. I tell you what, when the time comes for a new buell, Im not buying it from my local dealer. And I will tell them that. BTW, if anyone does happen to get an extra one, I would gladly pay any shipping costs for it. But if not, My sling bag from 4 years ago is still holding on, barely. |

My local dealer had the free beanie and Daves hooked me up with a sling bad.......thanks again. Now how to get a messenger bag. I looked at the tag from the Beanie and it said April 15th. so I won't go and try to hit my local dealer up. I will be really surprised if they get some. |
