Fairly basic question - When Kellermann Micro 1000 turn signals are to be purchased, the following conundrum evinces . . . To LED or Halogen? Budget is important, but not as important as safety and such. Is there a substantial difference betwixt the two? Regardless, are there any installation issues one should be aware of before placing an order? Also, I assume that the LED flasher from American Sport Bike is also a "must-have," http://www.americansportbike.com/shoponline/ccp0-p rodshow/16086.html, correct? Is the installation here a simple remove and replace? It is great to be back on the board . . . and finally tweaking my baby . . . took me a while to convince the wife . . . |

Get the regular - brighter than stock and you don't have to add a resistor in line or get a special flasher - I have them on the rear of my black bike and the Kellerman bar end signals on the clip-ons in the front - the front are the most durable units I've had the joy of using - all the drops and bumps and they just keep working - painted brass - easy to touch up. As I've said to my friends - I swear all the mods are for practical reasons! - lol GT - JBOTDS! EZ |

Yeah! So, with the regular Kellermanns, I do not need to order American Sport Bike's 16086 - Turn Signal Flasher? Well, there's another eighteen bucks ($18.00) I can re-appropriate in my budget!! That makes this mod even more "practical," or so I can include in the begging and groveling before the wife . . . Thanks EZ! |

Yup, I just ordered four (4) of the regulars. I will post pics upon their receipt and installation. Also ordered new grips, K&N filter, K&N filter kit, and a couple of oil filters. Let the modifications begin . . . |

The LED's are much more spectacular when lit up, and way brighter.

Its ok - yes the LED are way bright, twice as much, and you need the special flasher or 2 in-line resistors to make it all work - lol - but the regular are way brighter than stock already - I've always figured the LED are a bit of overkill, others like them though - its more of a personal choice.
