I replaced my old lightning heads for Ts heads last year and since then there a knocking sound on the front end of the engine. Can't figure out of it's at the rockerbox or at the cams. So i'm planning to instal a new set of lifters. But what lifters can i use?? looked on ebay lot's of lifters but just don't know wich will fit a buell??. No other mods on the bike did have stock S1WL cams (standard for europe) Richard |

Hey. You can use any lifters that are meant for Sportsters 91-99 I would recommend Revolution Performance lifters. http://www.revperf.com/xl.aspx?action=valvetrain Ralph (Message edited by xldevil on April 05, 2007) |

Richard, Before you go replacing lifters, you might want to pull the rockerbox covers to see if you maybe have a rocker arm hitting a cover. If that is the case, then a little minor clearancing of the affected cover area may solve the noise issue. Let us know what you find. |

Replaced the lifters knocking sound is less. And it looks like it Blake did also have a point. There are some clearly vissible marks on the rockerbox where the arm hits it. |
