Smartass Comment #1) Those darn saddle bag latches are ALWAYS coming open. Smartass Comment #2) You know, you'll kill your battery if you leave your headlight on like that. I kid because I know everyone was OK. |

Those darn saddle bag latches are ALWAYS coming open. Good thing I bought him those bag liners or everything he had would have been scattered down the mountain side! Those darn saddlebags serve as really good frame pucks!

ducxl, i'm the one who told you not to come up on my right. some are comfortable with it some are not. i've been hit that way so i prefer to avoid it. nothing against you, we were just on roads we didn't know and we don't need another pedrosa/hayden moment. if you feel i was too harsh on you than please accept my apology, it was an exciting weekend for all. |

I can totally see that point mike. I crashed "thinking" (enough said right there) tracker was going to pass me on a corner on the right side. I caught him in my mirror and mis-judged how close he was. (he was actually just video tapping me)I knew livnlo was there one minute, then I caught tracker in my mirror right before the corner, I bailed out of the corner as not to take him out or myself. I knew the gravel path was there and took my chances with it....keep in mind this happens waaaaaay fast and not much time to think/react. I am just glad no one was hurt all weekend. Playing in someone else's back yard is one thing, This backyard is one of the most challenging yards one can play on. Instinct is the only option you have when playing around like that at these speeds. We ALL learned something while there, Good or Bad. Most important we ALL came home SAFE. I can not wait to do it again!!!! Others were not so lucky as a med-flight came in on saturday for one of the dual sport guys that were next door to our cabin area. I wish him a quick recovery. sounded like he was in rough shape... (Message edited by firebolteric_ma on April 03, 2007) |

Smartass Comment #1) Those darn saddle bag latches are ALWAYS coming open. Smartass Comment #2) You know, you'll kill your battery if you leave your headlight on like that. I kid because I know everyone was OK. LOL - Doesn't bother me. If you were with me at the side of the road as so many were, I was joking the entire time. Like I said before, I was upset about the bike as long as it took me to realize I was not hurt. I got more hurt turning off the light than the get off itself. That was a hike! Of course it was not as bad as chasing all the way down the hill after the lower bag that came loose pulling the bike out. I was about to leave it until I realized I had other people's stuff in that bag. I had to take three breaks coming up to catch my breath and that is why I was sore not the little barrel roll I did getting away from the bike. As I get within a few feet from the top Duchtr -said "Can I Help!" Everytime we had to hike down the hill, I would remind everyone - "Now remember, no one has been hurt yet, so let's keep it that way. You'll understand what I mean in a minute." The leaves were over a foot deep and there was no traction. I felt I was doing the dog paddle everytime I climbed out. The funniest comment came from the state trooper. Rubberdown looks at the trooper and says, "Believe it or not, he's an excellent rider." The trooper looks down in the ravine at my bike and said, "Yeah, I can tell." |

While everyone thanks us for putting this together, I would like to thank all who came down to play! Wish I had control over the weather, but Mother Nature has not increased my access permissions on the weather server. |

I'm with you Travis. Thanks to all. A special thanks to UlyWife. Kristi, you done good! I had a great time, MrsG did too. Didn't get near as much ride time as I'd like (so what's new!) so we're looking forward to Fall Badness, wait, I'm with y'all, we need a better name! |

we need a better name! I agree, nothing with "fall" in it! I think someone suggested Buelltoberfest, we could have a Border Raid. The question is where do we want to go? Back to Suches or somewhere in TN, VA or NC?

I'll have to stick close to home if at all possible, so I vote for Suches. I may be able to go as far as Western North Carolina. My vacation works on the Brownie Point System, I've used way more than I have. The rest of my vacation will be elongating weekends, if I'm lucky. |
