So to make a long story short, I got hammered after watching Rossi kick but the other day and left my bike at a friends. He rode it over to the house and noted he thought he fouled a plug. I rode my son to Karate and indeed it was missing. I took it apart and ended up literally tearing a plug wire. Possibly already torn anyway. I just ordered an ignition wire kit from Iron Machine. I hope it will be a quality set-up. Does anyone have any input on that product. Also I am running Screaming Eagle HD B12P plugs that ran well. The kit comes with standard NGK's are these sufficient or should I buy some like the ones I have in there, Split fires or iridium NGK's or what? Just fishing for input on Plugs and wires. I know the moral to the story, dont do too many Irish Car Bombs while watching Moto GP. |

I've been running the Iron Machine 8mm plug wires with NGK Iridums for over 5,000 miles now and have had zero problems with them. I have not tested the resistance of the wires lately, but it's still running so good I haven't felt like taking them off to see what they're like now. I'd recommend them. As for the standard NGK's, I don't know about those. Haven't tried them. Are they properly heat-rated for our bikes? |

Thanks for the input on the kit!! I have been using the Harley equivalent of the NGK Irridiums for the last 7000 miles without issue but do not see the same exact Buell logo plugs anywhere. I have an XB12S with the factory race kit and wondered if the standard plugs will do supplied with the kit,or if I need to go with the irridiums? I dont want to do this twice. Anyone have a opinion? What heat range is best? |
