I love the pipes on this Tuber! I wouldn't mind having the same treatment done to my 9R. Reminiscent of a Britten. http://tampa.craigslist.org/mcy/304677984.html |

I have a blue high temp powder coat as well, I am testing it on my X1 to be sure of the durability before we add it to inventory, I will post up the pics when the bike is done this weekend. |

Make sure the company does it right.. I have the X1WL but I had a boo boo, some nutt hit me about 4 years ago... anyway.. I had a replacement header coated Blue to get back to Stock.. it took 3 times to get it right, the coating would spot, or flake off. Just FYI... they said it was the Stainless Steal headers... blah I think they were just dumb |

Has anyone had any experience with Jethot? Are they reliable? I'm wondering if the coating might cause a heat buildup in the exhaust. |

I've had several parts done by them and they are a great company. Heat build up in the exhaust?? |

Well, heat buildup as in creating more heat than what the exhaust was designed to handle. I dunno, maybe a coating makes it more difficult for the pipes to shed excess heat, what do I know? Buell engines run hot enough as they are. But if the product doesn't affect performance, then blue pipes would look pretty cool on my white 'bolt. |

Coatings like Jet Hot were designed for use in spacecraft originally. They help keep the heat in the pipe and exit it faster. Another company to check into is Moore Power Coatings in Nebraska. I have had several parts done by them, quality and quick. They also do all the coatings for Speedway motors, if you know about them you know that shows their reputation. |

Vanvideo- My white 'bolt has a blue ceramic coated header, and you're correct, the color combo is sharp. James |
