I have always considered Buell to be the "best kept secret in the motorcycle industry". The reasonable purchase price along with low maint and innexpensive parts makes an already very fun bike the most fun for the buck. That and nobody ever heard of it. I love it! Then I read my newest Cycle World magazine. The word "Buell" is all over it! The word is in several articles. The term "mass centralization" is there too. There are pictures of Buells in multiple adverts! THIS IS GOING TOO FAR!!! Somebody needs to contact CW editors and put a stop to this before the secret is out! That and Mr. Buell is going to have to up the ante because the entire industry is nipping at his heels.

I love my XB12 also, but I will always have a Big Twin in my shed. 1987 FXRS freshly rebuilt. And Buell really is becoming mainstream now. Not a bad thing.

Yep Buells are becoming more accepted with the younger folk. I had a 20 something tell me the other day that when he takes the side plastic off his R1 it looks like a Buell.

I'd say the appeal is more towards the more mature youth...those that are more into the experience than the spec sheet.

Dongalonga, Well, when incandescent lighting was "the latest thing" last year in VT, what do you expect?

I spend 3 weeks in Newport, VT every year on vacation. Unfortunately, bikeless : (

You have some incredibly GORGEOUS, Buell worthy roads out there.

They make pretty good pancake syrup, too.

Didn't know Buell made pancake syrup, must be special order 'cause I know I've never seen it at the dealership.

I love my XB as much as anyone, but here in the UK Buell's chance has gone. Not so much a has-been, more of a never-was, the XB's opportunity to make a real impact on the world's most intense sportbike market has all but evaporated.

Unless Buell comes up with something very, very special this year, they will be consigned to the sportbike graveyard and never be anything other than a strange brand that sells to mid-life-crisis ex-Harley owners.

I sincerely hope it doesn't come to this, but three years in the Buell family has done nothing to make me think otherwise.

12r, The Buell market overseas looks strong to me? Maybe I am confused.

Vermont roads definitely rock.

Steve, we should hook up the next time you're in town. We may be able to hook you up for something to ride.

Oh, and the maple syrup...definitely the best around!

Littlebuggles; come to Homecoming, and you can taste some Great pancake syrup. Now all we have to do is convince someone to make the pancakes to put it on.

Thanks for the invite, gotta get my bike right first. I'd love to ride to VT, just have to convince my wife it's okay for me to take off for a week and a half.

Oh yeah, I'm glad Buell is getting good press finally. the new bikes are pretty cool but I sure love the tube frames, so much personality...

Cruisin, I'll be in VT from July 10th through the end of July. Lets hook up. I'd LOVE to go for a ride!

Those 3 weeks being bikeless suck. Especially surrounded by some of the most Buell worthy roads in the country.
