When I turn the key in the ignition, I get no lights. I flip the killswitch, hear the fuel pump and my neutral light comes on. Also, depress either brake lever, and my LED rear lights up (also, my headlights function and HIbeam indicator works fine). However, I have no lights in the dash, neither my speedo or tach sweep and the engine will not start despite hearing the fuel pump (engine light doesn't come on either). What's causing this problem? I recently put in ClearAlternatives Integrated Taillight/Turners and, when I went to turn over the engine once, all of the above stopped functioning. I believe I heard a pop/fizz kinda sound (a short?)

Any and all help is appreciated!!

Sounds like you blew the ACC fuse.

It works the dash, tail light(not brake), and a couple other things.

You say you just installed the new tail light, that's where I would start looking for a short, pinched wire, or something that would cause the fuse to blow.

My $.02

Swapped the ACC fuse with the spare, turns out that's exactly what was wrong. --much thanks Tank-- Now what I'm wondering, before I make the same attempt at testing my turnsignals (got my event order wrong 1st post), which wire is the positive lead for the turners? Red right?

If so, do I just ground the negative or seal it off?

I'm not familiar with the light setup you purchased, so let me venture a guess....

It's wired so that the brake lights up both sides, but the signals only light up their respective side, and the assembly only has one single common ground for all functions??

If this is correct, and you find a good point to use for ground, it should be fine. And you can just tape up the factory(black) ground wires.

I'm just having trouble figuring how it would override the brake light, unless the signals are a different color.

Or maybe I just totally misunderstood your question

Well, the lil LEDs run Red and Bright Red for running and brake lights but when the turners are activated, the selected side runs Yellow. The wires used are... the main LED port plug (where old tail bulb was) and two small yellow wires for the turners.

The factory grounds are the wires I was asking about, as this new taillight has no standalone grounds of its own. I've got it all handled now, gotta get a Flasher controller (O'Reilly's?) to get the rate back down though.

much thanks
