So who is selling this beautiful specimen? http://kansascity.craigslist.org/mcy/302299148.htm l The seller either didn't get the memo about decorative LEDs being gay, or they...ahem...did get the memo. (Message edited by lowflyer on March 30, 2007) |

Thunder in the Valley is coming up May 19th and 20th in Marquette,KS. I have been to this meet the last 2 years and is a top notch meet. Flat track races sponsored by the AHMRA, bike show and meet on the 19th. Great meet, Marquette is 15 miles west of lindsborg,KS which is about 20 miles south of salina last year about 8,000 riders of all sorts were there. Marquette also has 2 vintage cycle museums, 2 bars and 2 restaurants. Not in some hayfield, marquette is a nice town. be nice to see some more buell riders there |

Lee, The bike belongs to a kid in Baldwin. I spoke with him the other night at the gas station as him and his buddies slobbered all over my bike. He said he put the gay led's on the bike hoping it would attract a buyer from the gay community in Gardener. |

Yeah, maybe I'll put more than 2,500 miles on my bike this year! Ha ha. I ride a ton and almost none every other season, so I guess I'm up for a 10,000 mile season. |

Yeah, it was a blast. I'm not sure what the deal is with the "elevation gain" numbers. They are obviously bogus. The elevation chart is accurate though. I'm sure I went faster than 87 mph too. |

Lawrence HD\Buell has a TT, OOOO MAN it was super cool in person. Still not a fan of the number plates on the side and the "No doubleup" print in the seat. Expected them to have more buells though, they had a TT, blast and the Ulyses. Guys at the dealer ship were extremely cool. They didnt appear pissed that I rolled in around 10am w/ a completely filthy bike and soaking wet waiting for service. I was not going to ride but I figured it was going to get dirty at some point. It was my first time riding the hwys in the rain on any bike and I must say it didnt bother me as much as I thought it would. Duff your firebolt is sick, it has that mad max look. I am not a fan of the rear view mirrors on the firebolt though. Matter of fact I come to hate all rear view mirrors, even the bar end ones. Time to look in to a camera setup, possible use a screen from a PDA or PSP. |

By the way the bike looks very nice you know I am a fan of all black. So when are you going to install the Knight Rider led kit for that ???? LOL |

I talked to Eli, I've heard good things about him and Topeka HD. Riverfront HD (Lawrence) is even closer to me (bout a 25 min ride). I'd like to get my hands on that TT. It would look sweet as a blue similar to hero blue on cityx but not translucid. I probably won't be able to do anything until about this time next year though... |

Thanks Fester! I'm glad to finally have it all back together. Of course when we fired it up last night the engine light came on though. I think it is either I didn't tighten the battery cables all the way down, the servo for the interactive exhaust or the 02 sensor. We'll see. Bmonty, I knew Eli in college, and I'm sure he won't steer you in the wrong direction. |

I'm going to Cassoday tomorrow. Anybody want to meet at the McDonald's in Gardner at 0700 tomorrow, stop at the truck stop in Beto Jct. for the greasy breakfast buffet and then to Cassoday to watch somebody blow their motor up on the dyno? The truck stop has plates with handles on them. If not, I'll post some more pictures for you p-words. No riding for me today, I am repainting my rusty can. |

Change in my plans. I will be at Garmin at about 0700 so folks that want to ride along can meet me there in the southeast parking lot near the iron fence. Otherwise I'll see you guys down there. |
