Tis indeed historic and we've had less than half dozen badwebbers show up . . . entry decision is but days away. Takes but a minute. . . http://www.iomtt.com/forums/ Thanks to those who have. |

I'm rather disappointed at the number of folks showing up to post. I'm not sure how many folks read this racing section of Badweb. Maybe a post on the Quickboard might help? I did post something in the Big, Bad, & Dirty section the other day. |

Definatly - throw it up on the quick board! I'll let Blake or Court do it though, so it pulls in more eyes. If this section is not checked in your profile favorites, you won't see these posts when you search for new msgs. I did throw up a new topic about it over at SportTouring.net however... nick (Message edited by naustin on March 27, 2007) |

That password thing *was* kind of hard to figure out, wasn't it? Click on the link for a forgotten password and it will send you another one. The passwords are long and look like a garble. Just click, drag, and copy, getting all letters but no leading or trailing spaces and paste it in. Then log in and immediately change your password to something more memorable/manageable (you can again paste the old one in). That is a moderately bizarre software running there, I had to work at it to get a post up. Try the quick reply thing, the non-quick method is a little baffling. Jack |

Irish Ago here ive just read a post by court on here some where about liability/Factory well as far as the IOM TT Races are concerned we the Riders have to supply our own Liability cover and every team ive ever raced for have asked me to sign a disclaimer if anything was to happen while i was racing their Bike... the state of affairs in the USA seems to be if anything happens we,ll claim off you. Thank god thats not the case over here... Their was also a post how can you help our venture for now its a case of wait and see if we get an entry first. If that happens then lets see what come out of the woodwork I should have my shirts on line for sale within the next 10- days. Thank you all for your ongoing support Irish Ago. |

Thanks for your participation. This is one of the biggest things to happen to Buell racing this year. It's a long shot for sure. The committee will render entry decisions in the next several days and there are a handful of folks poised to go into action making good on the commitments we've made. Exciting stuff and the Buell has certainly become one of the most active threads on the TT website. For anyone who missed it, I did a short narrative of Buell history yesterday. Thanks for the support! |

Folks, Get a tad more credibility - go to the End2End fund and make a small donation. They are a charity that helps support the racing by making emergency medical services more available, helping to fund medevac helicopters, generally the "behind the scenes" stuff that really makes the racing possible. http://www.end2endfund.com Throw a couple bucks in the pot and then brag about it. Let's make our support of Irish Ago Racing felt across the board by the IOM community at large. Let's show them that we're not just a bunch of unruly guests... |

Many people don't realize this but the TT as an event does not charge an admission fee. It is funded by sponsor, the IOM government and volunteers. it provides a very needed boost to the tourism industry in the country but the budget is always tight. These sorts of fund raising efforts are essential for the TT to survive. |

That is a great thread. I'd love to be able to see a live feed on the race. You'd think there would be enough interest that they could find a sponsor to do that. And I too made a contribution to the http://www.end2endfund.com - that is certainly a worthwhile cause. It was unfortunate when Nova Scotia's Cape Breton Festival of Speed was cancelled on short notice last year. That would have created a similar event in North America. I can't seem to find anything about it in a web search so I guess it is still dead. Too bad. Newfiebuell, you there? Have you heard any good news on that? Jack |

The IOM TT web site will have a live radio feed of all the racing. Quite fun and it is the way you keep track of the racing when you are actually there. It is impossible to know what is going on around a 38 mile circuit so the radio broadcast is all important. I turn th efeed on at wrok and drive everyone nuts. |

WOw! Sweet, I'll be able to listen at work too. Does their broadcast server have enough bandwidth to keep the stream from re-buffering all the time? That's a rhetorical question, I guess. I hope so! |

From www.iomtt.com admin:
quote:As you are aware, we are updating our site for this Centenary year. We look forward to launching this site soon. In the course of this, we will need to perform some essential maintenance on the forum section of the site. This will require the forums to be put into a read-only mode. You may continue to view the posts on the forums, but cannot post. We look forward to releasing the new forums Friday dinner. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

The radio stream is pretty good once you get in. It can be hard to get on as they get a lot of traffic and I don't think they have figured out a way to really pay for it. |
