Please read this post first. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/327 77/265160.html?1174654971 Here is the deal with the bike. I need to get at least $2,600 for it "AS IS" NO REFUND. Like I said in my first post it is not running correctly. It has a really bad miss that's the only way i know how to describe it. I tested the ignition coil and it was bad. Replaced it but the bike is still running the same way. The miss/roughness is constant in all rpm ranges. I have no clue what is wrong with it and don't have the time or money to invest in it. BUELL 2003 XB9R FIREBOLT COLOR WHITE 984cc's Color - Wite Model Year - 2003 Make - Buell Model – XB9R Firebolt Condition (on a scale of one to ten) - 7 Mileage 25,000 Location (Nokesville, VA/Prince William County, USA) Price - $2,600 VIN = 4MZAX12J033401994 Miles = Aprox 22,000 miles Tires = Metzler M3 sport tires with roughly 1500 miles on them. Exhaust = Stock muffler ECM = Stock ECM Air filter = Stock air filter Belt guard = Purchased a new one of Ebay not installed but will include. For $3,000 "AS IS" NO REFUND. I will include the following items: Stock Blinkers = Brand new never unboxed Manual = 2003 Buell service manual XB9R Diagnostic scan tool = VDSTS Standard version Buell VDO-EFI Power Commander III new in box = 1999-2001 Buell X1 Lightning part number 83803-211 Buell Speedo re-wire kit = New in sealed bag PLEASE DO NOT EMAIL ME ASKING TO BUT THESE ITEMS. I would like the bike buyer to have first chance at it. I will not ship out the bike to other states unless It's absolutely vital for a sale as a last resort. If I ship then the shipping and handling charges will be applied to the sale of the bike. Cash will be accepted or Certified bank check. I have received higher offers but I think due to the running state of the bike I don't think it would be fair to sell it for any higher. But I'll leave it up to you all to decide if you are willing to pay more. I'm just trying to get what I need and no more. Okay,so far a few of you have replied are interested so far. I need to sell as soon as possible. I can't really wait on anyone. Who ever comes up with the money gets it. Let me know when you are ready to buy. I actually took video of it running tonight. I had no luck posting in on tinypic.com. Video file format is .wmv I'll take video of it tomorrow in the daylight hours. Just need to find a site to post it. Also forgot to add I drained the motor oil and tranny oil and installed a new filter. I did not find any metal in either the motor oil or trans oil. PLEASE REPSOND IN THIS NEW FOR SALE THREAD Thanks |

Tank, I am waiting to hear from one buyer. If he does not respond by tomorrow it's yours. My schedule is really booked this weekend, i will be on fire duty. I will be able to take of for a few hours. So if you are coming you will have to drive to Nokesville VA to pick it up. Do you have a pickup or trailer? |

Not as far as I thought... Is it faster to go north of quantico, or peel off on 17? (Message edited by tank_bueller on March 23, 2007) |

Raise the suspension?? It's already an inch taller than my SL, and I've taken that "off the beaten path" a time or two. |

I almost feel guilty. I know you didn't want to let her go, but I promise to treat her right! It was a pleasure meeting and talking with you. Every Badwebber that I have met are all just straight-up, "good people", and Steve, you are right up there. If you are ever down this way, drop me a line and the beers are on me. I'll be in touch. Here's a couple of quick pics I took before I put her in the garage last night...
I'm going to pull the fairing, airbox, and misc covers/scoops tonight to access the simple stuff. Keeping my fingers crossed... Tank |

Steve, you gotta' promise not to try to put your head through a brick wall when you read this..... The first thing I checked was the coil.... DEAD(on the front side) I happened to have another laying around and, while it didn't test "within spec", it was good enough to run the bike. Still need a new one.....and the engine light is still on. I don't know yet if there is something else blowing the coil, or if the new one that was put on was a DUD. I will find out soon enough. Will try to hook it up to the VVDSTDSTPSTUFF tomorrow, clear all codes and start over. Still Diggin' Tank |

Tank, Okay seeing the pics I feel sick to my stomach just like I did when we were loading her. You would think I was having a serious affair with her. lol Well I did fall in love with her from day one. Hey that's great news if it was just the coil. I truely hope that's all it is. That would be so awesome for you. I won't feel bad either about it. We did talk a little about this. I was just done with it really and did not have the time, effort in me or money to throw at it. I got my $2600 bucks and my Blazer is now paid off. I have a feeling many that did not jump on it are the ones that will be banging there heads through a brick wall. Hey don't hesitate to call me if you need to. How's the techno research working. For $100 bucks you can't beat it. |

Bake, A company in Europe called Sebimoto makes the fairing. It was the first full fairing available for the XB series. It's a fiberglass fairing. I'm not sure who imports them now. Try this: http://www.yoyodyneti.com/category.aspx?categoryID =2702 |

Firewhirl - Believe me, if I would have had the money, I would have jumped on it too. That bike looks so good! Just like mine! I have an almost identical fairing on mine. I watched that whole thread progress wishing I had some money, but I had just spent all my savings on my new Dodge Ram 4door 3/4ton Diesel 4x4! Can a man have a truck that is too big? NO! Bake - Check with Hal's in Florida, you can find 'em on the sponsor pages. They import a fairing that is exactly like that one, but has the headlight trim areas molded in like the stock fairing, that's the one I have on mine. A bit spendy, but well worth it for me. After all the mounting brackets and stuff, you'll be into it about $1050.00. The gang at Hal's is way cool ,they even called me personally to make sure I was fully aware of everything involved, and all that before I ordered. Hal's Speed Shop I gotta get her painted, then will post some pics. Tank - Best of luck man! Great score! Great looking bike! (Although we all know Black is the fastest color ) |

Thanks guys!, and don't let Steve fool ya, that CBR is one sweet piece of machinery he has in his driveway now. Steve, look at it this way; when you do get another Buell, you can fall in love all over again! I've been waiting for a deal on a 9R to pop up, but it never came....close to home, needs a little work, great price, etc. When I saw Steve's post, I knew it was now or never. I jumped like a squirrel on an electric fence. The coil I put on is not much better than the one I took off, but it runs the bike good enough to discount internal damage. Haven't used the software yet, but I have seen it in action, and will use it very soon. I'm hoping that the engine light is on because my coil is a p.o.s.. Will find out soon! Tank |
