There surely will be plenty of rides to hook up on, but I wanted to include as many CNY BadWebers as possible, to Sunday is ok with me. I'm thinking leave Deposit around 10AM, giving enough time for the Rochester folks to get there comfortably. The plan would be to do 10 North all the way to the end at Higgens Bay, then 8 and 365 back toward Rome. Depending on time and the Western folks needs, I might consider using 90 to make time and get home! Keep in touch. Steve |

Sounds like fun. I'll see what i can do about being there in the AM With luck, I'll be able to drum up a few more riders down here to come along. 450+ will be the longest trip I've done so far. I can't wait |

Well 450 would be about an average length run for me , but at as right now you will need to count me out on 4/ (21 or 22). I just bought a house and tentatively my closing is set for 4/20, with the 21st and 22nd set for painting/moving. So while I would love to come on this ride (only have a couple miles on the bike this year so far, most of them in Jan), if I skip out on this moving thing I might need to move in with somebody. So I am sure you guys will have a grand old time. I like the reservoirs down near Deposit and downsville. And Rt 10 up through the adirondacks is nice as well If you are going towards lake placid I assuming you going up 10 over 8 then up 30? If so the Oxbox Lake House (on Rt 8 - Between 10 and 30) is a nice place to stop and get a bite to eat. -Patrick |

carpedium81: I was hoping to go to Homecoming this year, but besides the house, my wife and I are expecting our first baby (Dr's tell us its a girl). She is due July 13th, so I won't e be going anywhere within 2-3 weeks either way of that date, so alas no homecoming for me (the house also killed my plans for march badness ) -Patrick |

From what I have read, then the ride will be Sunday 22 Apr? I will be coming from Rome, what time and where should I meet everyone? I am very anxious to meet some other Buell riders to ride with. They seem to be very few and far between as I have not seen many at all in this area. I hope that will change. I am more than a little familiar with most of the Adirondacks and Tug Hill areas. I generally like rides that are all the "longer" side. I do not think that 400-500 miles for a day ride is a long one at all. Sounds like a very comfortable distance that would allow for some stops and time for visiting and getting to know one another. |

Trapper I will be leaving from Rome also.I'm not real familiar with the route we are taking . Is there plenty of gas stations as the range of my bike is only about 150 miles between fill-ups.What part of Rome are you in? I'm in the city on Thomas st and I met a guy on Expense with a Buell last summer. |

I'm not sure if I'll be able to make the homecoming yet or not. If possible, for the April trip, I'm kind of hoping for a Saturday run (trying not to be a zombie on Monday morning ) I've got potentially another Buell rider and a sport bike rider who might tag along. I figure, the more, the merrier. |

I could probably get a sportster and two or three sportbike riders to tag along. this is my first badweb get together... do we try to keep under a certain number? |

Hmm. I probably should have asked, but... Other brands are welcome on this ride, too, right? I also second the question Carp had on the number of riders. Totally psyched. |

Carpedium it must be fate I have already taken that week off for vacation. NOW I must just convince my wife that I need to go! I had to buy her a new Explorer to go to Daytona with my father last year , so I'll see what this is going to cost me. Let me know if you get any more details ironed out. |

Wow! What a week for CNY Badweb! Doon, congrats on the house and baby girl on the way! Too bad you can't come, I had picked 10 with you in mind. You'll have opportunities soon emough, keep in touch. Carpedium81, are you planning to come down 90 to 81, or are you going to mess with backroads through the finger lakes? Using googlemaps, the highway is 187 miles and 3 hours from Rochester to Deposit. Through Ithaca it's 134 miles, but 3.5 hours. If you're coming the highway, we could hook up. I hate highway, but it's a necessary evil to get 'er done. The same goes for Trapper/Frpresky, but it's kind of out of the way for you instead of going south. As far as brands and number of riders is concerned, I'm cool with other brands, my buddies all ride whatever. But, I don't think I'm going to bring too many other buddies this time for several reasons: As the numbers grow, sport bike riding turns into driving a freight train, secondly when the numbers grow too big, all stops take that much longer, and lastly a core group of just CNY Badwebers gives us a chance to BS. If you always ride with somebody, bring em. In the end, use your best judgment. Writing this makes me think of my conversation with former BRAG president Peggie at last year's homecoming. I noted that BRAG had very little information about homecoming as far as who was doing what. She said that with the Harley folks, you set a date/hotel/route and departure time and it was like a freight train, everybody did the exact same thing at the exact same time(at 45mph). However, with the Buell people, their individualism led them to blow off host hotels and scheduled gatherings, come late, leave early and so on. She said that Eric told her she needed a "Cat-herder's license!" I was amused. Enough rant for now. I'm going back to thinking about the 40 miles I did today when it was 40 degrees. See ya. Steve |

Z28, I'm in Brewerton. I've got a few errands to run with the family on Saturday, but should be free around 3 for a short ride if you're into it. Supposed to be clear in the mid 50s. I'm in the book, give a call. Ricochet |

I'm not too familiar with places in Syracuse (other than Dinosaur BBQ). Do we have a good meetup location planned for that Sunday morning? Might be nice to find some place we can all hang out and get a coffee while we wait for a few of the guys who are coming from farther out. If I remember right from the last time I was up there, isn't there a diner or something right off the 81 exit by the mall? (Message edited by silenc3r on March 31, 2007) |

Fpresky, What did you have to buy your wife this time? :-P Great, yeah i'm still planning on it... Where are we going for the extra 250 miles? Thats like 14 hours straight with no stops! One thing i want to look at is slightly more wind protection for the M2, but i haven't seen anything around. Nothing huge, but at least you XBr's have something! Any ideas anyone? |
