Blake, Can you move the homecoming thread to the Storm Front (along with the Thunder in the Mountains)? Or maybe start a new "events" section? |

Any chance we could set up some sort of aftermarket parts guide? Just a rough listing of what parts are available would be nice. Seems to me there is quite a bit of reading/searching just to find out which slip-ons are avaiable. TIA Spike '99 M2 |

Quick, somebody local to him ride over and give Blake a beer, NOW! He just used the "j" word as in "job", which will start him thinking about money, which will start him thinking about all of us, which will start him thinking of adding to his Buell collection, which will start him thinking of how much value we all get from the site here, which will take him back to thinking about the words "job" and "money" again. Quick, somebody get him a beer, shoot better make it a pitchure (dang, I can spell pitchure, picture, bucket of beer, there!). Blake, you're getting sleepy, very sleepy, this is not a job, this is a hobby, must maintain badweb, must ride Buell, must not think of job and badweb in the same thought again, must drink beer and forget about job. (Sure hope those refined hops get there quick, I don't think the hypnosis is working, this is what happens when I stay up past midnight on a work night.) |

Spike: Dude, try the sponsors shown in the lefthand frame at http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/. Mike: Tongue in cheek, no worries. |

Blake: one of my biggest frustrations is seeing test results fade away into the abyss of the archives, in fact, knowing it will happen discourages me from posting more. For example, the whole deal with the race versus stock ignition modules comes up routinely, as does the breather check valves thing. I get e-mails on these things, too. It's time consuming and tedious to look back through the archives (when did I do that test again?) and come up with a link for the person doing the requesting. Plain and simple, with a large archive, people just don't take the time to go through and read each one of them. Here's what I'd like to do. For certain controlled tests of popular items like that, I'd like to create a new page, with the information at the top, retained even when the discussion below it is archived. The way you did it on the Drivetrain - Transmission page for the gearing explanation I gave Rocket. Then I'd like to link these pages from the top of the Knowledege vault and/or the top of the appropriate subject in the Knowledge vault, so the information is readily available without a lengthy perusal of the archives. Do I have your go-ahead? AW Absolutely!! Thanks!! B |

That would be a really good thing. There is so much chaff it takes alot of effort to find something. That's if a person knows to look for it in the first place. bighairyralph |

Well call me stupid, but just a week ago a friend of mine asked my opinion on which digital camera he should purchase. Ah me thinks, not knowing diddly squat about such high tech gizmos, I remembers Aaron telling us about his digi camera.................... Could I bollocks find it trolling through the RECENT archives. I gave up looking in the end and my buddy bought one of the Sony jobs without knowing diddly squat too ! I think he's a happy camper though. Yep it would be really good if we could impliment Aaron's idea. Many a time I'd love to be able to go straight to the relevant archived info, knowing it's there, without been drawn into a lengthy search. Rocket in England |

I am so totally with y'all. We could add the "Create New Conversation" button to all the knowledge vault pages so they would evolve like the quick board. Anyone want to volunteer to sort and categorize all the existing threads in the vault? Thanks Aaron for offering to help! Please organize as you see fit. I think new topics in the Knowledge Vault or as subtopics within the existing topics would be fine. Have at it. Let me know if you have any questions. Blake |
