anyone know how to get the buell logo's off the airbox cover? Not to sound like a smart ass, but just pull on them. Then use some soapy water to clean the residue off. The cover is black plastic all of the way through, so don't worry about pealing any paint. |

to aid in pulling off the logo you can use a hairdryer to warm it up, makes the glue more gooey and less likely to stick to the airbox cover. Alternatively you can just go for a long ride and the airbox cover will be sufficiently warm to do it. Sam |

Okay, here are my latest before and after pics, let me know if I did okay or not... Before: And after: I was gonna' go with the Hero Blue City Cross look until I saw the Cherry Bomb Red stuff on the Buell web site. I had to ditch the '03 style belt guard too. I got my red Buell before the local dealer even had one....heh heh heh So we will call this pic During:

You got to keep in mind that aircraft engines typically redline at 2700 rpm if... Thanks for the info, I don't know too much about aircraft engines. That torque is amazing if that's even close to what the engine puts out. Probably sounds incredible. Check out those pipes! (Message edited by cgocifer on March 16, 2007) |

I had a loaner blue 'cross and was thinking of keeping it. I love the silver frame and blue plastics with black wheels. |

Here is my second try for posting my pics, hopefully they will be larger. Its my 97 S1 with twin carbs, 75 hp NOS system , and the newest edition, a Garrett turbo with a hand made header and cool air box.I powder coated the wheels and front end at my shop and the paint was done next door.

Nothing to crazy but it is a ways from stock. Still got some more tricks up my sleeve, but it's getting there.

DarkDucati, what exhaust is that? It reminds me of a Jardine, but I didn't think you could get those in anything other than chrome or CF. |

It is a Jardine. When I repacked it I threw it in the sink and scotch brited the can for about an hour. It takes some time but creates a brushed finish which looks really cool with the polished end cap. |

Just got Ol Blue painted. The tank was in bad shape so I thought that maybe black was the next choice. Should be good for another 60,000mi.

Medic, What do you do with all of these bikes you rebuild? Do you sell them with salvaged titles or what? |
