I don't have an answer to the mp3 question, but be careful of dropping that thing. I dropped mine and the "speaker" was dislodged so the sound is kind of distorted. |

Go to motorola.com and find "motorola phone tools" for your phone. You can make your own ringtones with that program and connect to the internet with it using your phone. It should cost about $20. Worth every penny if you ask me. All you need to connect the phone to your computer is a regular-to-mini usb cable. Plugs right into the phone. Easy as pie. Clear as mud? Sam |

Spidey, If you do a search you can find a vendor that will sell you the cd & cable that you need. The Razor is real stinky about having the right equipment to do cetain things, like downloading pics. I found software on the web that will let me do some things with a standard cable but for all the features you have to have the 'special' one. |

I never dropped my Razor, but it went through the washing machine. Completely soaked. I immediately removed the battery and set in in a sunny windowsill for several days. I cringed as I reinserted the battery and turned it on, but I was amazingly greeted by 'Hello, Moto'. It's continued to work fine since. |

Spidey and Iamike, I have never had to have any sort of "special" cable to use any of the features available to the phone via the software made by none other than Motorola themselves. Like I previously posted all you need is the software installed and a "regular" usb-to-miniusb cable that usually comes with a digital camera or some mp3 players. If you don't already have one lying around you can definitely buy one from any electronics store. I use, with no problem, my cable that came with my Sony digital camera. http://www.store.motorola.com/mot/en/US/adirect/mo torola?cmd=catProductDetail Above is the program I use for my phones, I have both a SLVR and a RAZR. Works the same for both, but it looks like they no longer sell for direct download, you have to purchase a CD now. Sam |
