according to "The Secret" we can all think positive thoughts about the weather in Suches next weekend...and it will be positive! Of course, I base this assessment solely on the SNL skit from a couple of weeks. Amy Poehler had the aussie chick down cold! |

Man I am ready to go...I keep thinking if I left now.....nah....I'd be camping for 6 days(american calculation method) until the event starts(Friday). Man, that would be awesome. I've vacationed in the area twice. Rented a cabin at nearby Vogel State Park (opposite end of Wolfpen Gap Road from TWO). Wake up every morning to the sound of the stream behind the cabin, take my time eating breakfast, gear up and ride twisties until lunch. Come back and chill for an hour or two, gear up and ride twisties until dark. Why are we waiting for next Friday? |

Why are we waiting for next Friday? I tell Cameron every year the only way to make MB better would be to make it last a week. |

If I were down there an entire week, I don't think I could come home. Maybe making Friday part of the official Badness would be a good start to making the event a little bigger next year. I'll get one T-shirt in Medium. |

Mike, the official start is Friday. Hold off on ordering t-shirts, I'll let y'all know the details later, after MB. |

Oh, really? Well then. Nevermind. I was just thinking that the ride on Friday wasn't officially part of Badness, and should be! I was just showing my interest in the shirts. |

Heck yeah we are! I've got my saddle bags all loaded already because I needed to see how they sit on the bike. I was a little worried about them swinging into the back tire, but with stratigically placed bungies, I think I'm all good. -------------------------------------------------- ---------------- I'm not pleased with the video quality of my helmet cam (Who'd 've guessed at $35 new!) But my real video camera is very small, so I'm fabbing up a mount for that. I'm planning on belting it on the outside of my right boot. The angle is pretty awesome! It gets very close to the ground on right hand turns. I've already fabbed up a safety strap to the belt on my boots incase the main belt breaks or comes loose. Now I just have to finish fabbing the actual case the camera sits in on the side of my boot. |

Ratyson, Bambi & I may be around Friday. We're going to try and get there in time to make the Dragon run, but that's gonna be tough. If we don't make the Dragon run in time, we'll be raising hell locally. |

Anyone else staying local on Friday?? Yep, I'll be around. Probably do a bunch of runs on Wolf Pen. Sad news... MrsG can not make it Friday because she has to work. To make it worse, she has to work til noon Saturday. So, we'll be seeing her arrive sometime Saturday afternoon, I'm guessing around 2ish. |

I've only owned a Buell for a few weeks now ... It never gets old either. I've almost 50,000 miles on my 03XB9SR and still grin every time I throw a leg over, or actually I really only have to think about it. Welcome to the BadWeB, and all the hoopla! It's only days away now. Weather's great! Headed up tomorrow for a Pre-Badness run. There will be a bunch of us up there, at different times. I hope to see everyone, but my time is cut short because my middle one turns 16 (God I feel old) and must head back around noon. If anyone is in the area, head on over. |

There are several motels in Dahlonega. However, I don't like riding the mountain roads at night...I know too many guys who've met up with Bambi. But, the ride up from Dahlonega the next morning will put a smile on your face. If you get started before 8:30am you might make it all the way to TWO w/o hitting any traffic and w/o the LEOs. This might help: http://www.dahlonega.org/index.php?option=com_wrap per&Itemid=127 |

The bad news... One of my buddies has all but cancelled... The good news... There is a possibility my other buddy and I will be arriving in the Dalonega area on Weds evening. We will stay in Dalonega and get a good night's sleep!! That will give us Thurs for some "warm up runs around T.W.O. (us Floridians can use all the warm up time we can get)!!!! |

For those headed this way next weekend, be advised of the following: 1) US HWY 19 is undergoing serious repaving from just north of Cavender Creek to just south of Turner's Corners. It will be great when they are finished, but right now northbound lane is 2-4 inches higher than southbound and there are lots of black pebbles everywhere. 2) The warm weather is starting to bring the bicycle riders out of their hibernation. If you haven't encountered this breed before be advised they have an arrogant road attitude and no apparent fear of death. Watch out for them. 3) As always on Friday afternoon you are going to want to be careful on the US 129 and GA 60. From about 3 PM on it is Miller time here in the mountains. Many try to run with the bikes in their pick-ups. Some do a pretty fair job of it as well, but they use both sides of the road. Not good if you are coming the other way. Have fun and be safe! |

Hey NEBO people; you should swing by Sheldon's, or what ever shop you deal with and get a bunch of MOTORCYCLES ARE EVERYWHERE bumper stickers and hand them out while you're down South. I really wish I could make it, but with the new job, it just isn't possible. |

Crusty, those bumper stickers are available at TWO. Good thought though. Really was looking forward to meeting you, but I totally understand. My wife just started her new job last week, and has to work Friday, and Saturday until noon. She's bummed as this is her first MB. Take care of what needs to be taken care of, so that next year you'll not miss the fun. |
