One of the best rides I ever had was outrunning a storm front that chased me from Georgia, through Alabama, and finally caught me at a crossroads called Two Egg, Florida. The only thing there was an old gas station. I stuck around and must have met the entire population of Two Egg while the rain came down. A couple weeks later, I was talking about the ride to my father, and his second wife Joan just about fell out of her seat. She grew up in Two Egg, but would never admit to it because... well, because it was a place called Two Egg. I described the place as just a flashing yellow light at a crossroads next to an old gas station, and she said, "Yep... that's Two Egg". Then she described the people she grew up with and I realized I probably met a few of them while I was there. What a great ride. Had it not been for the rain, I'd have never stumbled into Two Egg, Florida. |

Since the weather doesn't worry about me... I don't worry about the weather. Although, I may have to bring a little extra beer... cause if it DOES rain, I may run out of beer. I am not a good rain rider... but I can drink the ass out of a beer in downpour without loosing traction on the can! |

Man, that's the truth. It's was the partial cause of my only get-off. Steve ----------------------- If the sun gets low on the horizon, the strobe effect through the trees gets really disorienting, especially if you're an old fart... |

Whenever it is raining, and I am riding, the only thing that goes through my head is how quickly the bike is going to squirt out from under me and leave me lying there... Guess I'm just a big pusskat.. lol |

It's the same as anything else. The more you do it, the better/more confident you get. A few years ago, the only transportation I had was a bike. That lasted about 4 years and cost 2 motorcycles. My commute to work was 45 miles. Granted winter in this area ain't as bad, but I still feel the chill of having to ride to work 6 days a week in cold ass rain for what would seem like weeks on end. Ever since then, if it starts to rain, I'll ride until I'm wet and cold, or until the rain stops. I don't do all that riding in the rain as much as I did back then, but I don't get scared of squirting the bike out from under me, I'm more worried about the Atlantans that forget how to drive when it's raining out. |

Look at it this way...Wet pavement doesn't give quite the road burn as dry does. DJ - Two Egg. Good one. The town at the intersection of hwy69 & 69a. There's a joke there. Makes the town I grew up in seem absolutely metropolitan!! http://www.powassan.net/index.php |

Long range weather predictions for E.Tenn and Smoky Mountains looks Great. Mid 70's day time, mid 50's at night. Less than 10% wet. BUT!.... In E.Tenn. if you don't like the weather, wait 15 minutes, it'll change. |

the story on two egg is that the local farmer there would go to town and his kids were given two eggs each to barter for what they wanted to buy at the country store. his farm was supposed to be where two egg is. the story was from the 60's when i was going to school in the florida panhandle. been through there many times long ago tim |

I got a friend of mine from Cumming... coming to MBIV. He rides a 92 ZX7 that is missing some plastics. He was there last year for a couple of hours on Friday with me. He is interested in testing out a few buells. We may be able to pass on the virus to him as well! |

HA... I didn't realize how funny that sounded when I typed it... lol He wanted to know if he can have a passenger on a demo with him. He is bringing his girlyfriend who is also into bikes. And what the gear requirements are; I told him helmet, jacket, jeans. I wasn't sure about what type of shoes would be acceptable, I figured something that covers the ankle, so that is what I told him. |

I'm gonna be a trailer queen after all, picking up some parts I bought in Atlanta, on the way up. I guess I should check it out today, see if the lights work, etc. |

My method of counting comes from being deployed with Uncle Sams Motorcycle Club. You can't count the day you are in because it has started, you can't count the day when you are finally going to get off that God forsaken Gator freighter. So you must round down the 5.92 days to 5 Days!!! It just makes my day less crap like. |

Bad news with regards to the t-shirts. Due to my computer crash, and life going into high gear, I didn't get the design in time to get the shirts back in time for MB-IV. But, all is not lost, there will be MB-IV available, only after MB. Stay tuned as to how to get one. Sorry y'all. |
