I'm looking for a cabin on a private lake or maybe somewhere on a beach that allows dogs off there leash and in the water. I have two very behaved dogs(kids)and i could really use some help here if you know of anyplace please let me know. I'd really like to find a cabin on a private lake. The area im hoping to find something in is lets say Michigan down to about Kentucky over to North/South Carolina and back up the eastern sea board to about Maine and back over to Michigan any help would be great. |

I've yet to have a hotel say no to bringing in a dog. There is a pretty good handbook I picked up once, prior to taking Jack-The-Wonderdog on a xcountry trip. He's 80# and I think one place wanted to charge me and extra $5. You'll have a ball with them! |

My uncle rents a very nice cabin up north Michigan on Clam lake, which channels on to Torch lake (very close to each other). Pet friendly, large grass area that leads right to the lake. When I say cabin, It is more like a three bedroom home(I could diffently live there year round). Nice bon fire pit, nice dock! There is a bar on the lake in walking distance of the cabin, lots of twisty roads. Let me know I can get you contact information. You can rent boats jetskis and all that on torch. There are great golf courses with in fifteen minutes. Schuss/Shanty Creek, and four others all on the same mountain. If your in to it there is also a Casino about 25 minutes away. The closest town is 10mins and its a little speed bump, Bellaire. Bellaire does offer some pretty nice restraunts, and there is a brew pub there. |
