In reading tire mileage posts and f. pad life posts in the KV I seem to notice a trend of parts life that suggests that maybe the Lightning raises c.o.g. enough to cause increased r.tire and f. brake pad wear. I know riding style and diff. riding environments affect these things, but has anyone else noticed this? Or is it all in my head? 3100 miles on pads? I"ve got 5600 on my Bolt and alot more to go. Still got the 208's as well. |

I have a bolt and had 7,200 or so miles on before i put on tires. Put the pads on around 10,000. |

i have a lightning with 7K miles and the stock tires. it's a cityx with taller suspension than a stock lightning, too. i ride pretty hard, and the scorpion syncs have lasted. pads are fine. my 2 cents... |

I changed the pads on my lightning low last year with about 8K and they could have made 10K. I have change the tires once I believe at about 6K miles. |

I changed my out my stock 208's on my lightning XB12Ss at 4600 miles. My front brake pads looked to be at 50% |

05XB12Scg: Front Pads changed @ 10,000 miles with 40% left. Rear D208's lasted about 3,000 miles. They were junk. I've got 1,500 on the Corsa III's on it now and they both still have 80% tread. |

I get about 6k out of rear Pilot Roads and 10k out of a set of front Lyndall golds. I don't ride this bike like a firebolt. You can't ride a bolt like a lightning. Well, New12R can, I can't. I don't feel comfortable being a hooligan hunched over low, like. (Message edited by kdan on March 18, 2007) |

03 9s with d207's 2500 miles with three track days on them and they where gone. 04 12R D208's and one track day 2500 miles and 75% left. I will use them up this summer in a couple track days. Pads still have 90% left. I don't ride hard at all on the street. I save it for the track. |
