I wanted to go visit my friend Jack over in Lynchburg but that seems a little far Lynchburg is my normal lunch stop on my mountain rides. They have a huge BBQ festival/competition there each year... in October IIRC.. it is well worth a trip to see it. But gets VERY crowded. The distillery tour is pretty fun..and FREE. You can buy yourself a bottle on site now, but Lynchburg is a dry city (in fact, I think the entire county is too), but they allow the distillery to sell on the premises. Heck, you can even purchase a barrel if you want. They bottle it, and send you a pallate with the barrel and 155 bottles. It think it runs about $4000 or so for Old #7. It is a really cool site to see the aging houses perched on top of the surrounding hills. They are HUGE, they hold several thousand barrels each, and I think there are about 100 or so of these houses. Ok.. back on track. I will be leaving Huntsvegas in approxamately 13 days, 17 hours, 22 minutes... but who's counting?} |

You can talk about moonshine openly and there will likely be plenty to sample, but if you get too nosey (and noisy) about where the 'stills' are, you might get yourself excluded from a few invites. The established makers stay in business by keeping their sites secret. Oh,man...wicked cool, just to sample the local spirits, high on my agenda...ok,now i'll be quiet..ssshhhhhhh.. |

"I got no life." Every personal and professional decision I am making right now is based on the 4 days I'm going to spend with people I only see once a year. I got no life either, but at least I got something to live for... for at least the next 2 weeks. |

That phrase should be in the advertising for this event and for the Homecoming. (Both of which I'll be missing due to prior commitments.) It's kind of like what someone said at a Homecoming several years ago: "It's like meeting old friends that I've never met before." (Message edited by mikej on March 16, 2007) |

KDan, Anthrax did have a song called "Bring the Noise". One of the hooks from the song was "Turn it up, Bring the Noise"... Th song was done in conjunction with rap band Public Enemy (Message edited by Paint shaker on March 16, 2007) |

My vacation starts the Wednesday before MB-IV, and lasts until the Wednesday after. I just realized that Good Friday is that following Friday. Thanks to Coke, that's a day off too. So I work Monday and Tuesday, off Wednesday through Wednesday, back to work on Thursday, off on Friday through Sunday, back to work on Monday... w00t! Lots and lots of ride time! |

OK, so I'm short...27" inseam. The last two years at this event there was only one bike with the optional short seat. If I'm not mistaken there was no bike (other than a Blast) that had the lower seat or the lower height suspension package. Bummer. Buell if you're listening....could you throw at least one XB12 on the trailer for us shorter guys. Thanks! |
