I am flattered (blushing deeply), but in all honesty I cannot take credit for the SEGasus (Schnit Eating Grin -asus) entirely. At Aaron's suggestion I lifted the Pegasus from an old Buell poster at his house. This barrowed image was later modified by a local graphic artist into the famous Team Elves logo.
I did a cut and paste grin on the original Pegasus as sort of a goof. None of the other Elves thought much of the idea. The graphic artist refined the image but it never went anywhere. So, to wind the story up - I would be happy to have BWB adopt this orphan image as its own. I had some vague plans on using it for as the logo for a revival of the old RockBOG, but can rework it enough to make it distinct for that application if the revival flies.

I am a graphic designer and a bueller and would love to work on this project (finally a subject I can speak about intelligently!). I have already started sketching in my sketchbook but may need a little time to work through it some more. Let me know if you want to see some of my other logo work.
IMHO I'm not sure about using a variation of the Pegusus logo. There are of course legal issues to think about, but based on gut instinct I also feel it should stand on its own. Bad Weather Bikers is a great name that is fertile ground for a visual mark it doesn't need to step on or borrow from the buell mark especially if this site is not affiliated in a direct way with Buell. The reason that mark works well in its context is that it is a parody. Probably not what this site wants to communicate.

NO MORE BLOODY HORSES PLEASE !!!!!!!.................NOT EVEN FLYING ONES !
We're talking about a website and its relationship to a motorcycle, our website and our motorcycles and NOT Erik Buell's coat of arms.
As this is the BAD WEATHER Buell site, why not a simple side shot of a silhouetted Buell Lightning displaying the Buell logo on the fuel tank, then lay this image on top of a streak of yellow\blue lightning. Circle the whole image with the words BAD WEATHER BIKERS . COM written in a traditional American "Hot Rod" font.
Whatever we do, let's do something different please. As different as Erik Buell makes his creations. Let's move on. But please, no more bloody horses !

I agree with Rocket,
How about something with a silhouette of a bike, with a lightning bolt, cyclone and some kind of a storm cloud, the Buell logo in the middle with the Bad Weather Bikers circling the whole thing.

I hafta agree with Rocket. Not that my opin-e-on matters much. hehe
I hate the Pegasus. I hate the Pegasus. I hate the Pegasus. Wash, Rinse, Repeat.
(Although the SEGasus IS funny.)
It would be hard to create a logo that symbolizes the HUGE amount of info, sarcasm, commentary, insight, along with the occasional "I know more about quantum physics than you do" threads, not to forget ALL the Buell information which led me here to begin with....but I am sure someone will create something really cool for a website that gets more hits than Buells own homepage.
(Maybe an oval with a black background. Bald Guys head in the center with a S.E.G. on his face. BAD WEATHER BIKERS.COM splashed around the edges.)

All the horses that I have any thing to do with did not have brakes(think yosemite sam on a camel yelling out whoa camel whoa.He draws his pistol and shoots it so as it will stop)horses camels same thing no brakes. I second Rockets no horses motion. Make it easy to reproduce 3 maybe 4 colours. Just like Paul In Oz's original kangaroo on an M2,Oz Invasion ,Buelligan t shirt.Which I still have a few in unworn condition(bribes or money I will not take so as to part with them I will bring them over one day to swap)Merry Christmas or whatever suits your persuasion.Ross.

I've a friend who has a high tech print shop. There's just about nuthin he can't do, but he gets sick of me nagging him.
Did you spot Rockets T's and LSR stickers ? Knocked up in a few hours. Crude, fast and useable. Think what can be done with a little more time and effort.
