Ive got a semi-similar idea of using duracoat on my plastic parts. The problem is Ive never used it before and am unsure if it will crack. Duracoat is used alot by firearm refinishers and Id like to do all the plastic on my bike in flat black. |

An aquaintance of mine had the lower half of his 4x4's exterior shot with the stuff. It turned out to be very good for this application. Time will tell how well it lasts but so far it's been over 2 years. RhinoUly |

is this Venom-esk theme going to continue? Ever since seeing your bike on here I've thought that it needed a Venom counterpart. |

The frame and a few other parts, I was thinkin about having the "coating" creap up the gas tank kinda like the Venom movie pic above But I am not sure how well the "coating" will work with a taped off area... |

As long as you run a razor blade before removing the tape you should be ok. |

There's a guy down here in south Texas named Sean that's got a 9S he put Line-X on the plastic on. It looks really killer, but he reports that it's so hard the tank cover is wearing out the front of his leathers. LOL! He recommends something soft/rubbery like Rhinoliner for the plastics so you don't rub a hole in your jacket. |

I think to get the right kind of creeping goo look on the tank you would have to use a brush and no tape. Using tape would leave a clean line that would ruin the effect. You could try to mimic the lines in the pic above. That would look wicked! (Message edited by Not_Purple_S2 on March 15, 2007) |

Thank you Rick. Matt, Yes I do, I am debating on making the "rhino lining" look like it is creeping up from the bottom of the tank or not... |
