575 to Ball Ground to some gnarly back roads to Jasper, then through Big Canoe, to knock the jockeys off the rich people's lawns, then over to 60 to 180 to 129 How long does it take to get to 129? |

HOLY MOTHER OF GOD!!! That road doesn't lend itself well to a "getoff" by the shoulder.I'll just concentrate staying on two wheels. Thanks Missus for the link to the photos. Edit: Oh yeah,is it near the "High Valley Resort" where we're supposed to be staying?? (Message edited by ducxl on March 12, 2007) |

Stealth and I have a cabin on Wolf Pen as well. MrsG, New12r and Brave_angel will be staying there as well. <rant> This is getting to where I begin to feel as though I may explode. Work is getting to be a real bitch with all the bickering going on about who's going to do what, and "I ain't gonna do that, that's not MY job"... Jeeze people, I'm only going to be gone for six working days, you'd think I wasn't coming back. Of course all of this is being documented for when their vacation times arrive... </rant> Any how...man! these next two weeks are going to be moving awfully slow, only to have MB-IV move on way too fast! |

I was hoping to find one used (or very discounted). I just spent $100 on this one 3 months ago. (I suppose this should be a warning NOT to buy a used one) |

Mike, I suppose you've already looked in the classifides? Man this sucks, I've had close to the same thing happen to me, only my problem was a stator. You could try giving Cameron (Clown) a call, when it comes to this kind of thing he really shines. He is the reason Stone Mountain is the best. After all he did hire Smokescreen! |

I can't wait to hit the twisties! We Nebo guys are begining to see the ground again. snow is almost gone, just water logged yards everywhere now. sand/salt still everywhere. need a good rain storm. I am hopping that my first ride won't be when I get down there. With all the NEW mods on the bike it will be a whole new machine and I will have a small learning curve for me to get used to it's new feel.(hopefully for the better) This could turn out to be a very exciting vacation to say the least....Good Times, Good People, Great roads, Great bikes.....Dang this is taking soooo long to get here... |

Hey, Mikef5000. Smokescreen was holding on to an old shock of mine that puked last month. I bought a new one, but if you want to inquire into getting it rebuilt efore MBiv, I can pick it up from him and swap it out with you for your puked one...Let me know. |

Dan, I think Mike is looking for a shock for an M2. The tube framed Buell's shocks work in the opposite direction ours do. Supposed to be 80o here today! Good-bye Winter! |

"And of course this is the only time there isn't a shock on Ebay". Screw E-bay... I got a used Penske shock in the Classified section right here on the BadWeb. No bids, no haggling, no bullshit. I paid $500 for it sight unseen and was absolutely stunned by the difference it made in rear suspension compliance and damping. The guy I bought it from said it was good to go, and it most definitely was. That shock was the best investment I've made yet; it totally changes my mind about the underslung-reverse shock arrangement (I used to hate it). (Message edited by djkaplan on March 13, 2007) |

How long does it take to get to 129? From where? I can get to 129 between 45mins to an hour from Alpharetta. From the Marietta side, I'd give it between two and three hours, depending on how much fun you want to have on the way. So may options, it's ridiculous. I've left Dahlonega downtown and been in Marietta downtown in an hour. I don't recommend that though. I exceeded the posted speed limit. |
