Well, I for one would never have guessed it, for sure!!  As a matter of fact, I still don't understand it! Couple of questions: 1. Just like Ulyguy, I do not understand how you got your Firebolt on to the milk crates. 2. I am wondering what the role of the Land Rover in this exercise might be? 3. How are you planning on returning the bicycle to terra firma? Inquiring minds want to know! | ||

My guess as follows... 1. Pick up each end of bike and sit it on the crates. 2. Looks like towel on right rear of bike for it to "rest" against veicle. 3. Reverse of #1 If none of the above then WTF. | ||

Hammer you have almost got it... due to only having two people and the bike being slightly on the heavy side for stabilities sake: 1. Park the bike so that the front wheel is in front of the milk crates and the rear as close to them as possible. 2. Have one person hold the front brake and the other lift the rear and slide it onto the crates. 3. wiggle it back and forth to get it close enough to the tail gate so that it does not want to slide off or tip over. as for taking it back off, just do all that backwards except have the front go down first. worked much better then expected, I was able to change the tires, and upgrade to the 43mm forks. | ||

Wow someone knows how to do some wood working. I personally stay faraway from that stuff no matter how many times I cut it, its still to short, at least metal I can weld back together haha. I will have to look for some milkcrates tho | ||

Can you use metric milk crates (i.e. litres) or do they have to be imperial (i.e.pints)? I can't find any advice on this in the owners manual. | ||

psh! you need to get the unabridged service manual... (the one written in crayon on napkins) it clearly states to use metric for the front and imperial for the back, very important if not the wild squirrels will attack! |
